I imagine this set will last a while and I won’t have to buy another set for a while. It really pays to get something of nicer quality that will last you instead of replacing cheap sets every few years. So happy with this purchase. The knifes are sharp, easy to use and not too many that it’s hard to decide what to use for which cooking task. From someone who doesn’t do much fancy cooking, these knifes make me feel fancy. They are high quality and worth of the henckel name. I have zwilling knives and wusthof knives and these are comparable to those. I did notice that they dull a bit sooner than my zwilling and wusthof knives but if you use the honing steel that comes with the set at the end or begining of cutting (which I do anyways also with my Wusthof and Zwilling knives) it cuts much sharper and more precisely. Good for cutting tomatoes and make paring work super easy and these are easyto hold too. I use the santoku in my culinary class and with my chef's knife I can go ""all Nanta!" on my cutting cuttinf.
