In his revolutionary book Miracles Happen , Brian Weiss M.D., the New York Times bestselling author of Many Lives, Many Masters , examines the physical, emotional, and spiritual healing that is possible when you freely accept and embrace the reality of reincarnation. Trained as a traditional psychotherapist, Dr. Weiss began to explore how reincarnation and past life regression can lead us to our higher selves after a startling encounter with a patient. Now a leading proponent of past-life therapy, Dr. Weiss shows us that, indeed, Miracles Happen , with seemingly incredible but true stories that demonstrate how, by getting in touch with and understanding our past lives, we can dramatically improve the present. Review: Brian does it again! - First off. In response to Margaret McConnell (4/9/15) who said: "I do not accept reincarnation as I'm a Christian and the Bible clearly states: 'It is is appointed man ONCE to live and after that the judgment.'" I am a Christian and I DO believe in reincarnation. Let me first of all point out that that's not what the scripture says. Secondly, here are some scriptures in favor of reincarnation: Mal. 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. Matt. 11:13-14 [Jesus:] For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come. Matt. 17:12-13 [Jesus:] But I say unto you, that Elias is come already and they knew him not but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the son of Man suffer of them. Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist. Jesus nowhere denied reincarnation, not even when the disciples asked him of the man born blind, "Master, who did sin, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" (John 9:2) As for the other naysayers who have posted that Brian doesn't even check to verify if these past life stories happened. Ok, yeah it might have helped, but that would be a lot of work and besides, it doesn't really matter. The important thing is being healed. As for Music Lover and the other reviewer who borrowed from Music Lover who said that we must have a powerless God. God is using Brian and other plr therapists to heal people. As long as people are being healed, who cares! This book is about healing. That said. Brian Weiss does it again! This book is awesome and very thorough! Very detailed and healing from start to finish with some really good techniques too. He says over and over again, "We are all connected." He talks about animals. One of my favorite quotes was when he said, "karma is not a punishment, it is an opportunity for growth." We are soul and we are eternal. Well anyway, I don't want to give too much away. I just like the stories people wrote him and every one of them no matter how similar, are unique. Many Lives, Many Masters and Only Love is Real are still my two favorites by him but this one's great too. Makes me want to visit the Omega Institute! Amy's a great writer too! Review: Weiss is doing great work - This isn't the first book I've read by Brian Weiss, and if he keeps writing, it certainly won't be the last. Whether you believe in past lives or not, which I do, the fact that past life regression can cure a mountain of ills is astounding. Weiss' new book, co-written with his daughter, is a collection of stories told to him by the people who've been regressed, and cured. Considering that reincarnation is the norm throughout most of the world's religions, and was part of Christianity until the 5th century, lends credence to its validity. What loving parent wouldn't give their child chance-after-chance to get things right, rather than condemn them to eternal punishment after one try(lifetime). The idea of only one lifetime, only makes sense if you wish to control people by fear, not by the loving God that Christians believe theirs to be. Weiss' new book is broken up into chapters that tell stories dedicated to a particular aspect of what visiting your past lives can do for you. Chapter 1 shows us how we're all connected. Stories show how synchronicity works by having attendees to Weiss' classes sitting next to the one person who holds the key to whatever problem they might be having. It shows how a loving universe prompts certain people into our orbit to show, or tell us something important to our lives. Chapter 2 goes into how some past live can be validated through searches on the Internet, or visiting towns with a familiarity not possible in the regressed present lifetime. I think one of the most important aspects of past life regressions, which is discussed in Chapter 3, is how visiting a past life and reliving a trauma, can dissipate current emotional problems. Maybe it's the greater understanding stemming from a current life that makes the emotional pain go away, regardless of whether the regressed person is only using their imagination, as some would argue. Throughout the chapters is in this 300-plus page book, example after example are given as to the healing aspects of past life regressions, and Brian Weiss is hardly some new age guru. He's a trained psychiatrist from Yale who happened upon past life regression by accident when one of his patients slipped into a past life that cured a present ill. He discusses this in previous books of which I forget the details, but again, it's like the universe needed this amazing man to help validate the idea that we live life after life, not graduating until we learn to love unconditionally. What a wonderful way of looking at life. I think that most important part of past life regression, is to teach us that we don't really lose anyone. We live life-after-life, and that karma is just us wanting to come back to enjoy the opposite side of our last life so that we can understand things completely. This leads me to believe that the universe was set up to run in an orderly and very loving manner, with a God at the head who loves us unconditionally and gives us all the time and opportunity to become like him, and any good parent would. Weiss' book is filled with so many testimonials of real people who've been healed by his work, that it's a total joy to read. Take a break from the bad news on t.v. to learn that the world really is a good and fair place to live in. I will be giving this book to anyone I know who's depressed, and feeling defeated by life. Thank you Dr. Brian Weiss.

Life Changing!
I was originally introduced to Past Life Regression Therapy by reading Dr. Brian Weiss' first book "Many Lives, Many Masters." Some time later through the course of my education I had the opportunity to learn directly from Dr. Weiss his techniques and method to this powerfully healing modality. I went on to open my own practice as a Past Life Regression Therapist and for years have seen first hand the miraculous transformational effect that not only PLRT but more specifically Dr. Weiss' approach and techniques have had on my clients. I studied under several other "leaders" in this field and other areas of consciousness exploration and have experienced time and time again using Weiss' non-suggestive approach to allowing the client to connect with what is coming through for them in the most organic way possible to be the most effective and awe inspiring. Using as little "suggestion" as possible allows for the connection and healing to be what it NEEDS to be, in spite of what we sometimes THINK it should be. Experiencing the remembrance of a past life for many provides confirmation of our eternal existence absolving fear, phobias even grief. Actualizing Dr Weiss' techniques in my practice I see clients also release unwanted medical conditions, directly receive Divine spiritual guidance, reconnect and communicate with loved ones who have crossed over, and most importantly reconnecting to their own inner guidance improving intuitive ability and confidence. I am honored to have contributed to "Miracles Happen" and am excited to see such a diverse compilation exemplifying not just the depth of PLRT healing potential, but the breadth as well. The accounts are honest, compelling, and the commentary made by Dr. Weiss himself contributes an even deeper understanding of the miracles being shared.

Going Back to Go Forward
As an author who writes fiction that features reincarnation as a given and has done considerable research into the phenomenon in history and in the field, I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Weiss's latest book Miracles Happen. I haven't studied his earlier works (intend to do so), which evidently present more of the nuts and bolts of his method of regression, but I got the general idea from the mix of testimonials and commentary that comprise this book. His inclusion of portals other than strict past life regression (future lives, alternate/simultaneous lives, psychometry) adds breadth and stimulation for those already on board with reincarnation, offering other ways to explore that mysterious inner space. The many stories, which some have reviewed as repetitive or non-sensational, have a cumulative effect that either introduces the key concept that we are NOT our current bodies/personalities living only this time around or reinforces that mode of thinking for those who grasp it conceptually but are working to "get it" as a living reality. Since we, in the western world, have been conditioned by both religious and scientific authorities to ignore such soul phenomena or attribute them to the dark side, it is taking quite some time and repetition for the so-called occult to leak from its hidden streams back into the main water supply. Nevertheless, as Dr. Weiss points out and his subjects experienced, there are many ills, human and societal, that easily resolve by addressing the deeper past. While not including at least a summary of basic methods (why I gave the book four rather than five stars), this work should motivate many to explore and experience this rather simple route to personal health and enlightenment.

A Generous Read – Straight, Direct and Fascinating
My third, and thus far favorite, of the Dr. Weiss line of Past Life “baggage” we all seem to take along from time to time – literally speaking. Suited well for both newcomers and seasoned Weiss’ers alike, this work is filled with regression tales of and by different lives and varying social challenges, patterns of behavior, fate, and karmic debts with all kinds of folks from one childhood or family to another; to injury or atrocities of others or those of our own; to the rendezvous of the soul-mated as well as those notoriously aggravating types we tend to despise and pray for instant karmic justice in their immediate everyday lives. Living through it all, however, is the underlying purpose of everything and all of our own making…or, perhaps better said, for our own reasons. MIRACLES is front-to-back pure substance, with accompanying Words of Weissdom to clarify and compliment the experiences within. If past-life regression is what you are seeking, no matter your understanding of it all, then you are in the right place – and which, in itself, is a clue for the rest of your journey here: Take it with, or without, the old pain. Absolutely Well Done!

Another enlightening book by Dr Brian Weiss
The majority of each chapter is filled with personal stories of people who have attended workshops by Dr Weiss and had healing insights into their present lives and physical or mental issues Even those who read his books and then did self-hypnosis/meditation with his CDs had significant past-life recalls that helped them. Very interesting and inspiring book!
