Absolutely astounding, will see how long it lasts. I use this as a bench multimeter in ham radio, for electrical work around the farm and on everything from equipment to building wiring. The lighted display is a real plus, the unit is large and hefty enough to be easily handled and read and not feel like on of those lightweight freebies from the tool store. This is used right along with my 26 year old Fluke that is also a true RMS multimeter. Accuracy is as good as the Fluke, but response time takes a few seconds versus the Fluke which is instantaneous. But, to replace my Fluke it would nearly two grand, and this is the ticket for working on tall ladders where I run the risk of dropping the Fluke. At this price point I will live with the processing delay, but it probably would not be suitable for a production environment where time is critical. But, just fine for my occasional use. A big plus with this meter is the battery is accessible though a door, and the unit does not have to be disassembled like the Fluke. The only improvement I could ask for is test leads that actually have a probe that is long enough to reach inside conventional 120 and 240 VAC receptacles. The good news is that my Fluke leads interchange and are the adjustable type that telescope the metal contacts so I can reach in and test receptacles. Review: Great meter - I recieved it in 2 days from another seller on desertcart and cheaper than desertcart was. The meter itself is very accurate and leads are great leads it seems to be a well built meter it can all I need it to do and a trms that has temp in c or f even has batteries in it for 33 dollars with shipping cant go wrong I like the way the bateries are installed not going into detail about all its functions as they are to many to list the only gripe I have and it dosent matter a lot is the back light want stay on over a few seconds then you have to press button again to get it to relight. It seems to be as accrurate as meters costing many times what this one was.

A Good Value
A fine multimeter for general home use. Dial and buttons have a firm feel and all functions work well. Item was shipped in a plain white box that makes a good place to store the meter and probes. Something to realize is that because of its many functions these are "hidden" meaning you have to press buttons to get to, for example, manually selecting a voltage range. If you don't use this multimeter often, you may have to refer to the instructions to refresh your memory on how to use it. Simpler multimeters have most or all of the functions on the dial so they're visible at a glance and quick to select.

Useless after 1.5 years
It was fine while it lasted. After 1 summer the plastic screen covering the actual screen warped and broke off. The screen also became dimmer and is completely unreadable unless you press into it with a finger, then you can read 1 digit (new batteries didn't help).

Works okay so far and seems to be a good choice, real 20A
I've only had this for a very short time, but it seems to work okay so far. I bought it partly to measure the current of a motor and the 20A rating. I was able to use it for this without it blowing a fuse or stopping. I'm using it very basically and didn't want to overspend. Impressions: - nice feel, comes with cables and covers - found it easy to use - large/bulky compared to my other meter, but I kind of like the large size - the display looks fine and is easy to read, it looks like in the picture, not sure what the other reviewer was talking about - could be that their unit had a bad LCD, most LCDs of this type are somewhat less easy to read from odd angles. - comes in a plain white box, seems to be a weird brand only sold through Amazon ??? I did not compare readings to another meter, but tried a few functions and it seems to do what it is supposed to. It looks like most of the other reviewers at this point in time got their item for free. I actually bought this after reading a lot of other reviews and looking for an inexpensive meter that could handle 20A current on household AC power (120V, 60hz, USA). I'd buy it again, and might have had an easier time picking if someone else had posted this info. If it breaks or continues to work great over a long time I might revise or rate 5 stars.

This is the one you're looking for.
I'm in a line of work where a good, cheap meter is necessary. I've had them fall into plating tanks or off a 30 foot high rafter so spending hundreds wouldn't make much sense for me. Love the back light, it makes all the difference in real world use. The meter seems well built and solid, the readings are stable and accurate as far as I can tell, and it has a thermocouple for temp measurements. Gripes- only one. The alligator clipped leads don't fit like they should in the meter jacks. Usable but a little loose. Other than that, very good meter at a fair price. Five stars.

Very impressed by this DMM. I am currently in a instrument apprenticeship program. This unit takes more of the readings than our higher priced Fluke's at work take. I have also used meters at the local university for my DC and AC classes and this one is better. I bought this one because of all it can measure and the fact this is a TRMS meter. I knew what I needed based on what I have been taught and what I have used meters at work for. You won't be disappointed.
