A Practical Approach to Obstetric Anesthesia

Very good book, I like it. The only thing to improve is the quality of printing, paper's quality, and the clarity of images. Otherwise highly recommended.

After not doing any obstetric anesthesia for about seven years, I needed a good book to brush up my knowledge and bring me up to date on any changes in the field. This book was exactly what I needed. I would say it's that happy midpoint between outline format and "standard textbook prose" format. The information is current (as of 3/2017) and the book is well organized and easy to understand. I don't think I would use this as my primary OB anesthesia textbook if I were a resident, but for a review book it is outstanding. There are a few grammatical errors here and there which are irksome but not enough for me to take off a star.

I would rather name this book "Anesthesia for obstetricians" I have to thank the authors for helping to glose some gaps in my obstetrics knowlege but in some parts would wish to have more anesthesia-focused information perhaps with some interesting case histories instead of a bit too much details of the background pathology. Overall I found the book beeing very useful and it will definitely help me in my work. For the next edition I recommend an extensive list of acronyms.

Great OB anesthesia reference that's to the point and has helpful pearls in each section. Be aware that books published by Wolters Kluwer now use the Vitalsource service instead of Inkling. Vitalsound, especially the mobile app has a lot of display bugs making an ebook hard to use on the go. That being said I'd still recommend the book to any anesthesia provider.

I’m enjoying reading the book. However the printing job not as much. Multiple pages stuck together and turning my new book into an old book within minutes of reading!
