They also sound dull right out of the package. **Q: Are these strings glow in the dark?** A: No, these are not glow-in-the-dark strings. **Q: Are any of the higher strings unwound? If so, which?** A: The 3 high strings are not wound. The 3 low strings are wound. **Q: I got the DR greens for my 7 string, how does the white color hold up?** A: So far so good. I don't play daily anymore though. I've had them about 5 months. I'm guessing I only have about 10 hrs of actual play time - not a lot - but I can't really see any wear. The white is still a little reflective so they almost look like non-colored strings in normal light - until you get pretty close. (My only other experience is with DR black on a bass (used with a pick) - and these started to show through pretty quickly - under about 5 hrs. Although this was back when DR colors first came out.
