Stainless steel Kukri. I used it to shape a boxwood shrub outside my house window..What did the neighbors think? Given the somewhat dull out of the box edge,I found it was most effective with my grip lower down on the handle, which of course started wearing on the palm of my hand. The activity started becoming addictive in an OCD way. Needs a lanyard hole like it says in the description, although that might make The handle unnecessarily large. The sheath is great, but depends on the upper guard for retention, not unlike my SAA pistol holsters. After I was done, I washed the blade in dish soap and hot water. Dried thoroughly. No rust yet, and I don't expect there to be! Another site says United cutlery makes this with a D2 blade, but that is SEMI stainless. I don't see the advantage over this cheaper blade from my armchair. I'll stick with another of these low priced beauties. Of course there's a lot of unfinished work on the knife. But that's the price you pay...

This is an extremely well-made knife. Excellent weight, balance, and very sharp. Of the three kukris I've owned, this one is far and away the best.

I have 12 of gil hibbens knives and they are all beautiful and well made tools all with a coa and a black or brown leather sheath I have two on my body armor and the rest on display I love em all they are just the right price for my income I will keep buying

He's known as the "Klingon "Armorer" due to several of his designs being used in the Star Trek world. I have one of his bushcraft knives - it's just as beautifully made. He partners with United Cutlery to make some really cool blades. You won't find a better value Kukri for the price.
