A simple wiping of hands on a towel, between fingers and the Palms should be suffienct to remove excess product and prevent staining. As for the consistency, I thought it was perfect, thick and creamy but rubs in well and quickly. I felt it dried fairly quickly as well. Of course, I don't use too much product though. The smell I thought was nice, I tend to like fruity smells but this was good and it smells nice after tanning. So I do got a decent tan going. I am Irish and German. So understand that im extremely pale lol. Anyway I have been using a accelerator. I used this 1 time so far mixing it with my accelerator. Idk how people are having streaking. I have not had that issue and im gonna be honest. I did not wash my hands it did not leave any kind of residue behind. This has been a good one to help with tanning my legs. I have a tough time tanning below the knees. Now I waited 5 hours before takin a shower. This has worked! For below my knees.
