Great Stores
These straws are great. I use them mostly at home and they’re strong enough to be washed and reused to reduce waste. I use it for at least a full day or two before I get rid of it, ofc, o wash it every time. In other words, they’re durable. If for a business or an event at home, they’re not like those detestable paper straws! Buy them!

Next best after reusable IMO.
I love these straws. I don’t home compost (other than yard debris) so I can’t speak to the compost ability, but I do love the idea that they should break down better than normal plastic. They don’t fall apart like paper straws. They are sturdy like a normal plastic straw, even if left in a drink all day. They have a paper wrapper that should break down easily. And they are wide-ish. They aren’t wide like a milkshake straw (or those super wide ones you can buy), but they definitely aren’t skinny like some straws. Those are just weird to me. These are good. Reusable straws would be the ideal thing to use, but lately, I haven’t been in the mood to wash them so they sit and get gross and pile up. So I found these instead. I’ve used maybe 3-4 boxes now, almost daily, and I’m pretty much the only one that uses straws at the house. I will continue to buy them.

Just like plastic but eco-friendly!
These are great, they’re just like plastic straws but eco-friendly. I’m never using those soggy paper straws again.

Guilt free straws that I don't have to clean
I've been searching for a straw that won't negatively impact the planet (or the Sea Turtles) that I didn't have to bother cleaning. Phade Eco-Friendly is just what I was searching for! At just over 10 inches, these are long enough to fit a big Yeti or Stanley mug and have not get lost once I put the lid on. There is no taste, no weird texture, and the color is a pretty aqua blue. Highly recommend.

Works Like Plastic Straws But Need Info On Marine Bio-Degradability
I paid about $19 for a box of 250 individually wrapped 10.25 inch straws from Phade Products fulfilled by Amazon. The reason I bought the straws and paid a premium for them were the claims of the straws being marine bio-degradable. Overall, the straws look and feel like regular plastic straws and work fine. They do not get soggy like paper straws. These are only for cold drinks. These straws are made from a product called Nodax PHA. I don't fully understand the science but basically, instead of petroleum oil, it uses a more eco-friendly canola oil. I can only give it a neutral 3 star rating since there is no detailed information about how long it actually takes to break down the straws, particularly in oceans since the product claims to be marine bio-degradable. Update 4-16-2021: Nodax PHA is manufactured by Danimer Scientific. The Wall St. Journal wrote an article about the product and also questioned the amount of time it takes to break down and compost the product. I did a quick and dirty test of my own. I placed a piece of straw in 2 bottles. One filled with NYC tap water, the other with a good amount of sea salt and the tap water. My thinking was the sea salt would simulate ocean water. I shook up the bottles and let things settle. The straw in the bottle filled only with water sank to the bottom. The straw in the bottle with sea salt floated for a few minutes but eventually sank to the bottom. Ocean water at the bottom is significantly colder than water on the surface. If these straws sink to the bottom of the ocean, how will they ever be bio-degradable? Plus, trying to clean the bottom of the ocean is much harder and expensive than trying to clean plastic floating on top of the ocean. More testing and information is needed please. Until then, I have to reduce my rating from 3 stars to 1 star.

Great at home straw
I often forget to grab a large Starbucks straw. This is the right size to have on hand for those times. And to bring on vacation for any places thay may use paper straws. I did keep it in salt water with salinity of the ocean, for two months, nothing happened. (They say it degrades in the ocean in 2 months) but they work for my use and they might degrade faster than typical plastic but I have no way to test that. Edit: this is my 2nd box ( 2 sizes) of phade and this box says industrial compostable (and nothing about home, which my first box did) so I can't comment on that but overall I like having straws at home & this at leaves the chance that maybe it won't be around forever.

De loin les meilleures pailles écologiques! Rien à voir avec celles en carton.

can't stand PAPER STRAWS that last 3 minutes.. WHY USE THEM...
I wish these were available at businesses everywhere.. Companies like Booster Juice have been using this kind of biodegradable straw sincebuying thse long before plastic straws were outlawed.. I keep these in a bag in my car and take a few in my jacket pocket to the movies cause I like to sipmy drink through the whole movie.. paper straws last 10-20 minutes tops.. Highly recommend buying these.. I bought the 3 pack after trying the single box..

Love that these are good in hot and cold drinks and that they are fully composable and will breakdown if they reach a water source. Good quality no weird taste like paper straws!! Winner!
