This Tea is fantastic. High quality and strong. I brew mine with milk and sugar with whole milk. Let it simmer for a while and sieve it into my Thermos. Delicious to the last lip licking drop. And the smell is so pure and refreshing. This is the best spiced tea.

My first box of this tea came last night. This morning I made my first cup, and I am totally pleased. From some of the reviews I expected this tea to be too spicy or harsh, but I find it a perfectly balance blend of all spices--definitely not too peppery. I like a strong Chai tea, and it seems that there is quite some wiggle room for strength on how much tea I add to my water, but what I had this morning was wonderful. It's so much better than any of the tea bags I have tried, including the "big" names, and I don't buy the liquid Chia mixes. I like being able to control the sweetness. I have an adorable 1 quart vintage Descoware beanpot that I use for brewing my tea, and I filled it with about 20 ounces of water and added about 1 flat teaspoon of tea. I was surprised that the tea didn't color the water - it was fairly unimpressive just sitting on the bottom of the pot, but after the water come to temperature, everything hydrated and I ended up with a lovely pot of dark, fragrant tea. I boiled it for a few minutes, added my milk and unrefined sugar and brought it back to the boil. All told, it took about eight minutes to make enough tea for two large cups--far less time than it took me feed the cats and make my bed. I let the pot simmer on low until I was ready to have my tea, and it was awesome. About an hour later I had my second cup -it was still hot from the cast iron pot and equally wonderful. I totally see why so many people have written to say they have found their perfect Chai tea. It also comes thoughtfully packaged with an extra sealable bag to keep it fresh -the packaging shows pride in product. This won't be the only box I buy, for sure.

I make my own Masala Chai at home but thought I'd try this. Wasn't sure if the 'Double Spice' would be too strong, as I usually just make mine with cardamon pods. Very tasty and a little simpler to make than from scratch. Followed the instructions: 2 parts water, 1 part milk, sugar to taste bring to boil, add chai then boil 2 more minutes. Heaven.

New review: After spending a few days with the tea I can say that I brew this tea strong (1 and 1/2 tsp to 1 tbsp tea per 8 oz filtered water) let steep only 2-3 min then add to equal measure animal or plant milk . this makes a wonderful Masala Chai . this weekend I try to fully boil-brew the tea and see how it goes. The key was steep time just 2-3 minutes maximum . you can get two steeps out of the tea this way. Original Review: I bought some double spice chai. The box that arrived is nice, containing two small vacuum sealed packages, an extra resealable bag and a few inserts. I brewed up a cuppa using the suggested weight (2g) and filtered water (200 ml) . it has a nice spiced flavor that is blended well. The initial flavor is that of astringent tea really nice with brown sugar and milk which brings out the flavors of cardamon and cinnamon as well!. its astringency cuts through curry taste well and clears the palette too. I will likely add a bit more tea next time but I am happy with my purchase!!!!

I’ve purchased this VAGDAM Masala Chai before and find it one of the best ever. Arrived vacuum sealed intact with an extra zipper pouch to store it in once opened - great idea! I have a tea tin I designate for this loose leaf chai mixture and usually add more cinnamon bark, some good freeze dried unsweetened ginger bits, some crushed cardamom pods and a few extra black peppercorns. I’ll definitely purchase this again -loved that there was a decent sale recently so I’ll have some masala chai to drink cold or hot for a good while to come.

Love the taste of this Chai tea. great price point and worth every penny. would highly recommend for Chai lovers...and even if you aren't, you may want to try it.

Searching for the perfect Masala Chai is like the hunt for the Holy Grail. One searches and searches and tried dozens and dozens of teas - loose and bags. Of all the loose leaf teas I have tried this one genuinely delivers on the double spice claim. It still isn't quite as hot and spicy as I would prefer, but it the closest to the perfect Masala Chai loose leaf I have found. For years I used Masala Chai mixes with whole spices but they couldn't get the heat and spiciness I wanted. And if one brewed it long enough to get the heat, then the tea was steeped too long. So I've tried powder mixes with some success. For a loose leaf tea this is the spiciest I have yet to try. For the average Masala Chai drinker this should be perfect. Brews dark enough to withstand the additional of milk while still retaining some spiciness. If this tea still isn't hot/spicy enough try Everest Masala Chai spice mix powder to bump this loose leaf up a bit. Or if Supreme Spice is still in business they made a concentrate in drop form that was the best I've ever tried.

I'm very fussy about tea. I have a reputation among family and friends far and wide for being picky about what makes a tea his or subpar. I live for a highly spiced, well balanced chai and so often find the options lacking. This double spiced chai is without question the best I've had in North America. My house goes through it quickly, and I recommend it to anyone that asks me for a well balanced black tea with something special. I wish there was an option to buy it in a larger bulk format with less packaging, but regardless I will continue to buy it every month. I also recommend this brand's earl grey. Do not bother with their regular chai, though the vanilla is decent. This is a premium product and any chai fan would be delighted with this as a gift

Che dire: è ottimo! Io sono una teomane, molto esigente, per di più. Questi tè indiani sono ottimi, ed arrivano accompagnati da una bella lettera di presentazione del giovane proprietario dell'azienda. Un tè fatto con amore, ed anche equo solidale. La confezione è semplicemente perfetta, da tè di gran lusso, ad un prezzo che lascia increduli. Lo consiglio a chi ama assaggiare anche dei tè un po' diversi dal solito. Questo tè secondo me è adatto ad accompagnare piatti di carne, curry, etc. Ho acquistato anche EARL GREY CITRUS GREEN, assolutamente paradisiaco per un'appassionata di Earl Grey come me, adatto anche alla prima colazione, per cambiare un po' dal classico English Breakfast, ma soprattutto divino per il tè del pomeriggio. Consiglio appassionatamente questi tè per le ragioni che ho scritto.

Excellent flavour Worth buying

Incredibly good. Each individual spice pops. I lover the fact you can taste the black tea in the background... and I'm not even a fan of ordinary tea... the pepper is delicious the cinnamon and cardamom are clearly there. I have it with a couple of teaspoons of sugar and drink a large mug after a winter swim and its heavenly. Thank you.
