What weight pair as far as pounds should I get for loss weight and building muscle? I was thinking of getting the 30 pound pair.

Progressive overload. 30 is great to start with if you can do 6-8 reps. Once you're doing 10 reps easily increase the weight. I know this is probably like 2 years later but the progress never stops!

Is it normal for them to smell horrible? Like it’s awful.

Lol mines have like a rubber type smell

I purchased 35 and 40 lbs dumbells. the 35 are bigger than the 40lbs why the size discrepancy?

Did you purchase from same vendor? Or maybe their supplier is a variable

Are these useful for elevated lunges?

Not sure what an elevated lunge is but they work fine for in- place or stepping/ walking lunge.
