Convenient way to bring some silverware

IMPORTANT: This WILL set off metal detectors due to the layers of metal from the housed utensils, so I suggest handing off to the attendant before you even go through if you're ever in that situation. Regardless of that process that I repeated for 10 days out a 12-day activation - we decided to figure out what the offending item was on the second day, and I never needed to be stopped again after that - I am an extremely happy owner of this very thoughtfully-designed OXO product. I sometimes have modelling activations that go 12+ hours, and I hated having to remember to pack silverware every time I chose to pack a meal, and then needing to keep the silverware somehow isolated from everything else after usage to avoid getting anything dirty and ensure that the sharp points and edges weren't able to harm anything around it. While I've never forgotten to bring silverware, there have been too many occasions where it was a last-minute jolt of memory as I was heading out of the door, and I was not in favor of that minor backtrack becoming habitual. I checked out options at several local places between upscale home and digital nomad+outdoorsy stores, but most offerings were more camp-oriented and therefore not exactly appealing in form and appearance, plus they did not help with automatically keeping anything around the utensils clean and free of potential damage. At some point, I turned to OXO to see if an option existed among their products and found this gem. Not available in any local store, and no local options were worth considering in comparison, so an order it was. Arrived just in time for a 12-day activation. Sturdy hinged case that stays firmly closed yet still opens with ease, protecting the utensils perfectly. Decently lightweight without sacrificing weight for the form, function, or appearance of each piece. The utensils themselves handled well and would blend in at a dinner table far better than current competing options on the market. Bonus points for this being created in my favorite color. I rarely need a knife for a packed meal, so I typically leave the knife at home, which makes the case rattle a bit more due to the unused space. I always pack both the spoon and the fork just in case, and ended up helping a teammate who was scrambling for utensils at one point as result, so yay for automatic preparedness. I can see this remaining a part of my travel kit until OXO decides to upgrade it somehow. In the meantime, this sits atop my several HydroFlask meal containers, so I never need a reminder to pack silverware again.

I've had this traveling utensil kit for several years. They are great in size and quality. The scoop part of the spoon is in the middle between a full sized dinner spoon and a small desert spoon. The fork is also medium sized on the tines between a home dinner and desert fork. The knife also does a good job cutting through meats like a porkchop. These are so great I've purchased extra sets for when I don't have time to wash them between shifts and as gifts for others who also pack their own meals. They do well being handwashed or through the dishwasher.

Use these on a daily basis due to their compact container and relatively low cost to replace. Corrosion resistance isn’t the best, especially with the serrated teeth of the knife. Refrain from keeping them in water and ensure they’re dry. They feel more like a proper household utensil rather than some camping supply. The thickness of the metal and its durability are comparable to most household utensils. It’s not that intuitive or easy to get them back in the container in the right order so they don’t make noise. Overall a pleasant user experience, fair quality, and appear that they’ll last long if taken care of , and not lost ;)

Best thing I've bought in a while. My workplace is often out of silverware and this durable and portable set has saved lunch so many times. It cuts great and it's not small, it's like regular silverware size you'd use at home. Love it!

I'm so glad I decided to switch to these reusable stainless steel lunch utensils. They are incredibly sturdy and feel much more substantial than the last set I owned. They have a nice weight to them, which makes them feel high-quality. In fact, my husband liked them so much he said they fit perfectly in his hand, so I bought another set for him. I've been using them almost every day, and they work great in the dishwasher, which is a huge convenience. The fact that they come with their own case is also super handy for keeping them clean in my lunch bag. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a durable and reliable utensil set for their lunches.

Good for the price

This was a nice utensil set, and I liked how sturdy the case was, but I wound up returning it as I could find similar items for much less money. The cases weren’t quite as nice with the cheaper sets, but I was able to get four sets for the price of this one oxo set. This allows me to have one or more sets in the dishwasher and still have a set available for my lunches during the week. The slight increase in quality was not worth the dramatic increase in price with the oxo set.

Mit diesem Artikel habe ich einen guten Treffer gelandet! Im Etui ist das Edelstahlbesteck sicher und platzsparend aufbewahrt. Die Ausführung des Bestecks ist wertig und das Messer schneidet gut. Ich lege großen Wert auf Nachhaltigkeit und kann mir dieses nützliche Utensil auch als Begleiter durch den Alltag vorstellen. Meinerseits eine klare Kaufempfehlung und über ein „hilfreich“ würde ich mich freuen!
