It will control the temp in real time to the precise temp you want. Then google Elvis ammo to see how he hooked the PID to the melting pot. Remember “ITS WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN DIAMONDS”.

Can this be used to melt soft plastics for lures?

No. You’re better off with a microwave and a glass mixing cup. This product is for mixing lead.

Will this except a 5 inch tall mold?
