I purchased the Accuracy Water Quality Tester for monitoring the pH levels in my aquarium and hot tub, and it has exceeded my expectations. Pros: Wide pH Range: The 0-14 pH measurement range makes it versatile for various applications. This item got half good, and half bad reviews. I decided to go with my gut, and trust the brand ( VIVOSUN has never let me down before ). This Ph Meter feels sturdy, has an easy to read screen, easy to understand and calibrate. Functions as it should, does not reach its reading quite as fast as the $100+ competitors, but it still reaches its reading within a reasonable fashion. I have been using it everyday, sometimes a few days go by where I don't have to, and it holds a solid calibration for 30+ days if used correctly and stored properly. There were times I thought maybe it needed a calibration and when I dipped it in the solution, it read exactly what that solution was, so no need for a calibration. 👍. If I need another one for something else, be sure I will get another one of these. Also has a nice plastic storage case and come with an extra set of batteries.

I have not encountered the need for a battery replacement, indicating the product's high quality. Its construction imparts a premium feel, reminiscent of the top-tier calculators used in school algebra classes. Despite experiencing a few accidental drops, the device has proven durable with no discernible damage. Surprisingly, even the glass bulb has remained intact after these incidents. Additionally, the calibration process was relatively straightforward. The inclusion of three different calibration powders, to be mixed with distilled water for creating the calibration solution, enhances its user-friendly nature. However, a suggestion for improvement would be to include extra sets of calibration packs, as the current provision leaves little room for error, potentially rendering the product unusable in the event of a miscalibration without a backup option.

I’ve only had this for 2 weeks and I’ve had to recalibrate 3-4 times. It won’t hold calibration. I was excited to get this bc the one I had before was the older blue model (can’t remember the brand). Anyways, after fighting w this thing since I received it 2 weeks ago, today it started being so weird. Numbers were flying all over the place. I thought I’d calibrate and see if that would line it out AGAIN... the pictures show the meter in the 6.86 solution. It threw decimals out the window and started just going crazy. It wouldn’t turn off. I finally! Got it to turn off. Turned it back on and it wouldn’t ready anything except 16.00. It would not change. And it’s sitting in 6.86 in that pic also. If you buy this, I hope you have better luck. Or patience. Or maybe you don’t really need to know the ph after all lol now I have to wait another week for a new one bc I just started my refund on this one. If it was me, I wouldn’t do it. Try your luck with a different one. The blue one lasted longer than this. It was crap too but it lasted 6 months. Ughhhh... Edit: instead of just returning the other one, I had them send a replacement. This one is trash too. I just calibrated it yesterday and it’s reading my tap (which is usually around 7.3-7.5) at 8.8. That’s how I can always tell when a pen is way off. I also have a backup pen I’ve been using just to make sure. If it was close, I’d still try to use it. But floating 1.5 in ONE day is ludicrous. I’m sending it back for good this time. Guess I’ll try a different one. I do not recommend this one.

I bought one of these pens over a year ago and it still works great and holds the calibration the people that say it doesn't probably dropped it in the water still trouble free and I constantly use it basically daily

I have purchased several PH testers in the past and they were straight forward and easy to use. The instructions on this PH tester are ridiculous. The tester comes with three different PH powders to "calibrate" your machine, each at a specific PH amount. Directions included with the tester say to add powder to 250ml of water then dump out 80ml before testing. Then keep the PH powder water for future calibration (if electrode dries out), yet then the instructions say to dump out the PH powder water after first use. The instructions also say you must wipe off the electrode thoroughly after each calibration and testing, yet the instructions also state to NEVER let the electrode dry out. The usage steps within the product description are useless, the calibration steps aren't mentioned anywhere other than showing three pictures of the PH powder and the usage steps say to "first rinse it with distilled water then suck it with filter paper", really? Not to mention it doesn't list anywhere about wiping the electrode to keep dry nor make sure the electrode doesn't get dry like the written instructions do. The PH testers I have purchased in the past calibrated with ease, were very straight forward with the set up and future use instructions and always gave a spot on reading. I would of ordered one of the previous ones I purchased but I can't seem to find that brand anymore:( Regardless, I am returning this PH tester. To many issues for me to be able to rely on this product for my needs.

This worked great until my daughter got a hold of it and broke it pretty fast. Need a new one soon but it did its job for what I needed it for.

I don’t have anything to compare this product to other than pH testing strips. 😅 Functionality is great. It was super simple to calibrate with the included packets. you can buy additional calibration packets for cheap. This pen reads pH values super quick. It was a great value to have these quick readings for all my Fermentation products. Amazon keeps asking me about the temperature control for this device, but it does not have any.

I bought an older version from vivo sun and was ready measured, this one need to do it with the powder solution

This is a second metre and I like it. Different brand than the first that live on our boat for checking water quality. This is mostly for checking Ph of ferments so accuracy is not critical however I didn't check calibration and it is spot on. Also use it for checking our water supply and it matches the lab tests we run. Heavier than our first unit also seems sturdier although that's only an impression and not a teardown evaluation! Would buy again or for a friend.

Absolutely trash , I will no longer be using any Vivosun products I have many in my garden and this will be the last . Will not calibrate properly or stay calibrated , jumps all over the place and takes 10 mins to finally settle on a reading . Save your money . Absolutely useless
