Very good, very fresh. Will not use generic brands again if I can help it after picking up a box of this onion soup. I added it in with a big pork loin that I threw in the slow cooker. This was the only seasoning I added. I was feeling famished the entire time it was cooking. Made for great au jus. And of course for all the other reasons to have it on hand to use in a variety of recipes. It just an all around good flavor enhancer. I have used different generics and it had been awhile since I used Lipton. Really did make a difference for me, so this will be my main stay onion soup packet product.

I love the flavor, consistency and versatility of the dry mix. I use it in soups, broths and use in addition to certain recipes. When making a pot roast use your favorite preference on pot roast seasoning and put a packet or 2 of this in your pot roast at the beginning of cooking and it is so delicious to the point you can't mess your favorite comfort food up even if you tried. Lol

This is our favorite dip! We mix with just sour cream or plain Greek yogurt. And then dip potato chips, pretzels, or crackers in it. Also add it to meat recipes like burgers or chicken breast. Very versatile seasoning!

Of course great for Onion Dip, but also awesome mixed with 2 cans Golden Mushroom Soup, 2 Lipton Onion Mixes, Well blended, add on top of chuck roast in a slow cooker. Top with an onion quartered and a few cloves of garlic. Cook for several hours(depends on the size of roast) at 275 degrees. The best roast ever and so easy!! Happy cooking!

I don't actually use this dry mix to make soup, although I would imagine it makes a decent onion soup. I use it to make a quick Onion Chip Dip. One envelope of the soup (each box has two envelopes) mixed into a 16-ounce container of sour cream makes a nice and quick chip dip (try to make it a few hours before you need it if possible to let the flavors meld). I always keep a box in the pantry just in case I have to come up with a snack for surprise guests.

I've been using this for years in different recipes. I make a mean Hamburger Soup that has this in it. It adds wonderful flavor to all kinds of things. I rarely use it as a dip myself, but I have it as a dip before and it's really good. It's a staple in my kitchen pantry.
