NeckBone Chiropractic Pillow by Original Bones, Blue

Here is one of those funny little products that doesn't seem particularly meaningful on first glance but truly is life-enhancing. Okay, not in the spiritual or artistic sense. In the practical sense of actually making your life more comfortable. Turns out that the dog bone shape is perfect for the human neck. Use it on top of a pillow behind your back to provide neck support while reading in bed. Use it in the car or on the couch for a nap. Use it between your knees in bed to relieve pressure on your back while you sleep. Or use it as your main pillow. Wherever and however you use it, the zippered velour microfiber covering has a pleasant soft feel and washes nicely. It is not clear whether the adjective "chiropractic" is backed up by research, nor is it clear to me what they mean by saying that the zipper allows you "customize" the fit. The shape works very well just as it is. Being a dog bone shape does not mean that this pillow is a suitable snack for your dog, of course, although no doubt there are dogs who would love to chew it up. I bought this pillow for myself, and we loved it so much after we got it that I immediately got online and purchased another one in a different color. I will also be buying two more for my kids, since they keep stealing mine from me and I have to go steal it back. My best friend got a tan one, and I got the blue one. This pillow has a soft cover for it, plush but soft. The interior is firm in that it keeps its shape, but it's soft and pliable when you lay on it. It's great for putting at the back of the head, for the neck and shoulders to rest against and also works great behind the back for back support. I like to sleep on it at night, because it positions my head perfectly aligned while still letting me have a soft pillow to lay on. I've also used it between my knees when my back was hurting and I needed some extra support. The bone shape keeps my legs from being too propped up, but keeps them aligned and comfortable. I am considering buying a second one for me for that reason. I definitely recommend this pillow. I have loved bone style pillows for years, but they aren't easy to find. I'm so glad I found these here and in so many great colors. The blue is really pretty.

I was wary at first thinking this pillow was too large, but after using it it was extremely comfortable! I have a very painful arthritic condition in my neck that was intolerable and nsaids were not working. I use this pillow when watching tv in my recliner or reading. It relieves any painful tension in my neck when doing so a vast improvement over the pain I previously felt. While the pillow is in place I have more flexibility in my neck, I’m able to move it from side to side which I couldn’t do before. Also the fabric warms my neck and after using it it gives my neck a cozy feeling. I watch tv before I go to sleep and before I had the pillow I would go to sleep with a sore neck which interfered with sleep. This no longer happens. I still have arthritis and pain but much improvement.

I love these bone pillows, and actually this is the second one I ordered, after finding out that the first one felt just right. Although they have zippered covers, the openings are too small and only allow you to remove some of the fill. I don't think they can be removed for washing. I know that some people have removed some of the fill, but I did not think that necessary, I found that there was give in the pillow and over time has held up well. I bought small zippered pillow cases at Walmart made by Allerease (I have allergies), which protect the pillow and allow me to sleep on a clean pillow case on a regular basis. I gave this 4 stars because the size of the pillow suits me although I have to use another pillow case with it, but someone else may want to be able to remove the original pillow case, so this pillow may not be suitable for you.

I love Bones almost as much as my dog! Bone type pillows used to be so popular, I remember seeing them at places like Walgreens. Then they seemed to get harder and harder to find. This is my third Bone pillow purchased via Amazon, and hopefully they will still be available when I need another...which will be years from now as I throw then in the washer and dryer and the come out just fine. These are wonderful if you use a couple of bed pillows to prop yourself up as you read or are on a tablet in bed. Bone pillows support your neck perfectly. Also wonderful if you wake up with reflux or post nasal drip. Slip a bone under your neck and you'll feel so much better. Great gift idea for anyone with those issues.

larger and harder than I expected, and the stuffing is an awful polyester material that "crunches"...hopefully that will go away over time. The cover is velour, very sturdy and well-sewn, but too bad there isn't another fabric option because this fabric gets warm and sweaty on hot summer nights. I'd prefer a bamboo or cotton filling as well.

I ordered the pillow because I had been having problems with my neck, and awoke each morning with a bit or more of a headache, and a sore neck. After sleeping on this pillow, that has changed. I sleep much better, on my back, as well as either side. I have a more restful sleep while I am at it. It does take a little bit of getting used to the pillow, because it folds up around my head as I put my head on it while on my back. However, it only took me about 2 minutes to get used to it, because it was so comfortable, and I fell fast asleep. I bought 3. I have washed one, and it came out great. Yes, I absolutely love the pillow.

This item is quite large and exactly what I wanted. Mostly I use it for sleeping, as I stick my arm under the pillow and my hand always hits the wall or iron bar headboard (COLD!), which wakes me up. By keeping this pillow next to the headboard/wall, my hand hits it instead. It works perfectly and is never in the way. When I travel, I take this in the car or on the plane. It's great to use to rest your head against a window or wall, or even if you hate the hotel pillows. I don't use it behind my head, but one of my closest friend swears by it and won't leave home without it. This particular 'bone pillow' is very solid and well made. Nothing smooshy or cheap about it. It's firm but soft, and the seams are well done. The handholds on the ends are anchored very well. I've not had reason to wash it, but would be careful and wash it on delicate setting I think.
