It feels great to draw with and it's almost black when you apply pressure. I was surprised that it sharpens very well in a standard pencil sharpener considering how soft it is. Still a crumbly soft lead as you would expect so be gentle with it but I'm very impressed so far! This is the only pencil I've been sketching with since i got it.

Can't go wrong with Faber-Castell. This Pitt Graphite Matt 14B is superb for finished artwork without the graphite sheen. The matt finish gives a very professional feel.

Nearest for comparison I have is Faber Castell 9000 7B. This 14B is clearly blacker and has about 1/3 of the shine without wearing down instantly, which is a complete win. Curious thing is the way it drags on the page; almost feels like writing with rubber.Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is I feel it's expensive for only one pencil. But I have nothing else quite like it and you are unlikely to go bankrupt over this...

I looked at the specifications and reviews from previous users. Bought two. Delivery on time, no complaints about the quality of the product so far.

These are 2B, 6B and the darkest areas are layers of 14B. I got a good sense black without any pressure and not as much layering. It’s almost as an intense black as you get from charcoal. I have 2 of each pencil on the go for any project, one sharp and one flat. Since they are soft, the sharp gets sharpened more often, which is why I got the pack of 14. Very easy to blend and move. Would recommend to any one who likes drawing to have a 14B. Life is easier and more enjoyable in my art world.
