Well, another project completed
and something I will never, ever do again. There's nothing about tile work that I find remotely satisfying. I have a large walk-in tiled shower and it was being used exclusively by my sister and brother-in-law for the last 4 years because they were living with me. As it turned out, dear sister didn't think scrubbing the shower was needed for the last 4 years! They just moved out and when I saw my MOLDY shower, I couldn't believe my eyes. I sprayed it with bleach for 2 weeks and that didn't touch it. I tried scrubbing to no avail... Enter Homax. It took me a week to scrape caulk and grind out a section of grout and was ready to finally redo the caulk. I prefer caulk in squeeze tubes, but couldn't find the gray color I needed, so I had to use a caulk gun...ugh. Hate caulk guns. Bought a new dripless caulk gun (fantastic invention and purchased here on Amazon) and this fantastic Homax tool and worked up the courage to do the caulking...after all the work to prep, I really didn't want to mess this up! Between the dripless caulk gun and this fantastic Homax caulking tool, the job was completely painless and finished in an hour and looks like a professional did it. I like how the angled rubber on the Homax acted like a squeegee on the floor and wall. I, for the most part, got a very clean bead with very little cleanup left behind. You need to get the right angle on it and then it works perfectly. The right angle and clean it often gets the job done nicely. I am so glad I bought this tool. I bought two so I will have a spare in case a touch-up is ever needed. Tile work is a horrid job for me (I did my backsplash years ago and hated every minute of it), but having the right tools made this one not as bad as I had feared. Still, if I can help it, I will never do tile work again. Buy this Homax tool! It makes caulking so much easier and so does a dripless caulk gun.

Really useful for a perfect finish on baseboard caulk
This item was extremely effective in helping us finish the caulking on our baseboards so it looked clean and professional. Really easy to use. Highly recommend.

Great value for quality
Very good value for money. Which is specifically why I purchased this item as I only needed to cauck my shower. I recently stripped the peeling paint my landlord had used to "waterproof" the bottom of my concrete shower unfortunately the cheap cauck came off with it. I used this with gorilla glue silicone as I figured it would bond better. It worked very well at creating a perfect bead and cleaned off with a dry rag (silicone is very sticky) I would not recommend using on concrete or masonry if you plan to use it for more than one project because it did slightly shred up the rubber edge. But I am not worried as it worked for what I needed at a fair price

Perfect Hack for DIY Caulkers
I’m a novice, never caulked in my life, so I looked online at videos for help. In every video the handyman just wiped his finger over the caulk to smooth it. From talking to others I heard it’s not that easy so I started looking for hacks. This is the ultimate hack for caulking, it’s crazy how easy it is. Just pull across the caulk and wipe off with a paper towel every 6 inches or so. When you’re finished it looks professional without a mess or any hassle. If you’ve somehow found your way to this product it probably means you’re not a pro, so just buy it. Trust me you won’t regret it. The coolest thing is now I feel like a pro and I’ve done several other caulking jobs around the house with no problems at all. It’s a big confidence boost for a do it yourselfer.

Effective, inexpensive yet durable
I am a little over a year settled into a new construct house. I'm not sure why the caulk work seems subpar, but I noticed recently some cracks and gaps in my bathroom and kitchen. I had learned to caulk my bathroom with the "wet finger" technique. The trick with caulk is to lay down the caulk in the gap, spray it with water/cleaner, and then it will be easier to wipe and make a nice edge with your finger, then wiping off the extra off your finger. I had ok results with this technique, but I wanted a neater finish. I came across this product and decided to give it a try. It works better than my finger, and I am happy with the results. I still use the wetting technique, and then I edge it with the tool. This is very cheap yet effective, and the material seems durable enough to last at least a few different applications. I am already satisfied with its performance in my kitchen, as seen in the pictures, and I now approach any future projects without trepidation.

Very good, time saver but the rubber tip tared
Got it right on time for DIY kitchen renovation. First day use saved me lot of time. Works great. Update, second I noticed the tool front rubber part started to tare, lowering my rating from 5 to 3 as the tool works great except for the malfunction part. I will be returning if I cant exchange it and be very careful when using it so the rubber part does not tare

Nice finish
I wish I bought this sooner! I've been using my finger for years and it never looked great. The finish after using this was perfect.

VERY HANDY AND HARD TO FIND AT STORES NOWADAYS
This is the same tool that used to be sold everywhere. High quality and it works very well with stubborn caulks such as polyeurethanes. I just dip it into mineral spirits, give it a shake and tool away. Once you get the hang of the proper angle for your application, you will want to buy another after you see the results and time saved.

I found that the design caused the excess caulking the spread outwards along the tool, leaving very large smearing. This product is fine for small caulking jobs, with very little bead, but for larger fills, the over smearing ruined it. Using your finger is way better, and free. If your having trouble with your finger, just YouTube a tutorial. Your wife may thank you as well for the extra finger skills.
