Just buy the appropriate adapter. But really you’re wasting your money. You’d be better off using a piece of plastic tube duct-taped to your camera **Q: Hi can match Leica X2?** A: Don't waste your time. I ordered this and it was optically faulty. The image it created was badly blurred. **Q: Will this work for viewing really old slides?** A: That's not how it works. It works with cameras. **Q: Will it work on Leica iiif with 50mm lens?** A: Sort of. If you choose the 35mm version, it will show a wider field of view than your IIIf's 50mm lens. You'll need to keep this in mind when composing. I use it on a Sigma DP2M, which is also around 50mm (equiv.). The real downside is its poor optical quality. The image is very blurry, so it's a strain to use. I think they messed up when designing the lens system. I know it's not me since I use numerous optical viewfinders and don't have problems. It's just their bad design. I tried to use a viewfinder that would match the field of view of my 35 mm lens. The viewfinder slides into the cold shoe of the camera. There is no way to lock it in, however. The view is clear and sharp. The one problem that I found is that unless you are using a pancake lens, the longer lenses will block much of the field of view of the viewfinder. Also, because this is not an electronic viewfinder, I still have to check the autofocus on the LCD screen of the camera.
