Almost complete kit for Samsung A12 screen replacement
I recently dropped my phone in the parking lot and shattered the screen of my Samsung Galaxy A12. It is a 5 year old phone and I just wanted to see if I have DIY the screen change. Watched a few YouTube videos on the topic and found it to be a bit complicated but possible with the right tools. I thought if I am able to fix the screen I will continue using the 5-year old phone or it will be an experience and I will get a new phone. Thanks for this screen replacement kit with frame I can continue using the phone. No need to spend $$$s to buy a new phone. The kit is complete with all the tools required including 3 magnetic screw drivers, wedges to pry the case open and remove the battery, and two sticks which help opening up the assembly well. The kit is intuitive to use and the tools are color coded so it is easy to know exactly which screwdriver to use for the right set of screws. As a bonus it comes with a tempered glass screen protector which I really liked. I wish the blue wedges they provide is slightly tougher and bigger than a guitar pluck it would make prying the battery open a lot easier. Other than that this is a perfect kit for even the beginner to disassemble the Samsung A12, change the screen and put it back together.

Fit greatly on my A12.
Fit perfectly on my Samsung A12. Hardest part was prying the halves apart and removing the battery.

Fit without issue. Works fine. Not all seals and gaskets are included.
Fit without issue. There are some gaskets and seals that are not included and are quite finicky to try to transfer over from the old screen. Can with a decent tool it. No issue with screen performance. Hardest part of the project was getting the old battery out. Used some 99% isopropyl alcohol and let it just sit in there while using the suction cup provided to gently apply consistent pressure. Finally let go after about 20mins.

Everything you need in one cheap package
It worked! This was my first screen replacement. It’s amazing that for the low price you get everything you need: tools, screen with frame, adhesive strips (already in place) for the battery, and screen protector. Things to be prepared for: The plastic pry tools used to open the case and remove components like the battery are not great. I used tweezers to help remove the speaker and an old plastic trim tool for prying out the battery. The battery was really stuck in there! I used isopropyl alcohol and a heating pad to help loosen the bond. That’s it - watch a YouTube video or two, take your time, be careful, and it’s not too bad to get the job done.

Double check your part number! (Small modification needed)
After comparing the new screen to the old one everything looked to be okay. I disassembled my phone and began to transfer all components to the new shell. Once everything was transferred I powered up the phone to make sure it would come on and that the touch screen was working properly before I completely put the phone back together. One thing I noticed it that the vibration no longer worked. I double and triple checked the contact points for the vibrator pod and it looked fine. I wonder does it have anything to do with the screen model? The screen looks great and the touch screen is clear and bright, maybe even brighter then the oem one. 👍🏽***UPDATE*** so I took the phone a part again because the screen was showing red lines on the screen. I took the inside cover off and checked the main plug going to the screen. I unplugged the harness and removed the vibrating device. After I plugged the screen back in it came right back on so I figured maybe I didn't snap it in all the way when I first installed the screen. The vibration still was not working so I decided while I was in the phone I was going to try a few little experiments with the contact points of the vibrator device and the circuit board. After trying putting small stripe of foam tape under the connector ribbon I reinstalled the housing a WHATDIA KNOW! IT VIBRATES! LOL! I guess the housing is just a tad too big for the circuitry in the phone and was keeping the contact from firmly being pressed together. After fixing that problem I also added a small piece of foam tape to the vibration device housing , which gave it a solid feel to the vibration feature. So all in all, it's all fixed. The screen works fine, the vibration feature is working. Just a small adjustment to the housing with some foam tape and it all works good 👍🏾

Easy to install, but still replaced phone.
Found a video online that gave some really simple directions on opening the phone and making the swap. The best callout I can make is be sure you have a way to apply some iso alcohol to the battery and be patient. I'm not 100% sure if the screen worked though, the phone will turn on and vibrate to let me know its turning on, however nothing on screen. That said, there was some indication of water damage in the phone when I opened it (was my 13 year olds) so it's possible the phone itself was the problem. Everything in the kit looked and worked fine though, good tools included (if you don't already have a fav set). Not going to return or anything, could have been the phone. Either way I went to the store and got the kiddo a new replacement. *** Update *** The screen was fine, after a few days it would come on. I can't keep it on, but that tells me it is 100% the phone hardware and not the replacement screen. Updated review to 5 stars.

DIY was very easy... didn't last too long
Update... Screen worked for about a month and then stopped working (just after the return deadline, of course). Not sure how to get replacement at this time. Seller may make right, but I have not contacted them yet. Also, the screen protector is glass and cracked quickly. Original post... I always wondered how the little kiosks at the mall could fix a broken screen on a phone so easily. After watching the videos online, I decided to get this replacement screen and do it myself. It was a piece of cake! The only issue is you need to have patience (and a heat gun helps too). If you like fixing things yourself, this is a very nice screen. It helps to get the screen with the frame (it was only a dollar more and made replacement a breeze as it was just putting the small parts from inside the phone into the new frame and screen assembly). It also came with a very nice screen protector. I recommend this to anyone that wants to have a mini adventure (and of course has a cracked screen on an A12 phone).

Pleasantly surprised
There are a bunch of these things out there with mixed reviews, and I was accepting that this replacement screen might not behave 100% like the original. But I was pleasantly surprised. The installation was easy enough (though, admittedly, I have experience with this stuff) - and when placed side-by-side with another A12, the differences between the screens were indiscernable. Very happy about that. I've seen some comments that this screen might be more fragile than the OEM screen. I can't comment on this, and don't care to test it :-). Time will tell. For anyone considering doing this repair - take your time, and pay attention to detail You'll need to move the vibrator motor and speaker over from your old phone. And when removing the battery, DON'T use heat. just flood the the area under the battery with isopropyl alcohol and let it sit for 15 minutes. Use something wide and blunt (I used an old credit card) to start lifting it. If it doesn't come easily, flood with more IPA and wait a few more minutes. Anyway, very happy with the result. BTW, my phone is an SM-A125W. I've heard some people complain that certain things (like the camera) don't fit properly. Assuming the must have another variant - I didn't encounter any fitment issues at all.

Buena con detalles
Buen repuesto en general funciona bien , solo en ocasiones el touch tiene pequeños errores se queda pegado, no se, si se deba a la pantalla o algún error en la instalación pero por lo demás funciona bien

The product works but there is some problems with it
The product works but the screen itself is loose and not connected properly to the frame and also at some places the glue sticks out
