This fixture has an expensive, high quality, look once installed. As unbelievable as it sounds, as a very novice DYIer, was able to install this fixture without a second set of hands. My little tip was to use picture hanger wire. Once I got the bracket secured, I used the hanger wire on either side of the fixture to secure it with enough room to work on connecting and strategically placing/bending the wires within the container (whatever the space between the ceiling and the fixture base is called). Once connected, I was able to secure each side by evenly pulling the picture wire up until I could replace it with the actual screws! I felt like such the electrical Rock Star! LOL

Although I am deeply frustrated with Amazon's handling of the replacement process, I still strongly recommend this chandelier. I purchased three of them, and unfortunately, three lampshades arrived broken. Amazon representatives were unhelpful, 6 of them passed me on to someone else avoiding responsibility and only suggested a refund. However, the seller promised to replace the damaged parts. As for the product itself, it is incredibly elegant and of high quality.PS: If they don't follow through, I will update my review here.

Normally, I don't like buying things that I can't see before but, I liked the look of this one and it was modern and different from anything I could buy at my local big box store. When it arrived I opened everything up and checked it over, I was amazed at how well this was packaged, not a single scratch or break (I get nervous with glass in deliveries). While this did require more assembly than most fixtures I have purchased in the past, the instructions were clear, all of the necessary parts plus extras were there and I didn't need an engineering degree to assemble or install.Once installed, your choice of bulbs is important. The globes are smaller so a regular sized LED bulb will not fit, you must go with a compact bulb but, you should still be able to find a 60watt that will fit. I had a 3 light fixture prior to this one installed and it put out adequate light for the room, this one puts out a ton of light and the smoked shades give the room a warm and comfortable glow to it. I did put a dimmer switch on designed for LED bulbs.Long story short, buy it. You won't be disappointed.

This fixture came in packing that was busted - styrofoam pieces were everywhere. But the fixture was not broken. The globe is doesn't feel like glass, but since it's on the ceiling that shouldn't really affect anything. I liked the asthetic, but it was smaller than I anticipated and would not work well in a standard entry area. Would be better in a hallway with multiple lights or a small entry or laundry room.

Purchased this eight bulb light for my living room to give it a sleeker more modern feel. With the warm lighting my living room takes on a more romantic inviting feel, yet still supplies enough lighting to perform any task needed. Was very easy to set up and it’s very functional.

Sadly, as much as I liked it on the photo, it has been the most terrible light fixture we’ve ever purchased. I purchased it three times in the hope to make it work, and every time it either broke or didn’t work right. The shades are very beautiful but they are made of the thinnest possible glass. They are so fragile - a few shades cracked in my hands with no pressure applied. One cracked in the box - it’s a mystery why, may be the wind… very sad because I really liked it simplistic and contemporary design and smart look. Now, out of all the shades, we have only one whole in cracked shade… the light has not been working reliably either.

Item was very nice and looks great. A little tricky to install but overall not bad. I also needed form product support and the seller took care of it immediately and then some.
