It is all in one box. I opened the box put a tip on put the battery in and everything worked great.

Just go around and discharge all the fat electrolytic capacitors, even the ones that don't need it, just in case. It lets you get right to work soon after power-downs.

Works just like it says it will. I recommend this product.

This product works fine, but you need to be very careful when using this as it’s not designed for someone who isn’t careful. 1. The optional alligator clip connects to the magnet. I think this is probably an accident waiting to happen. The bare metal can get exposed here, and there isn’t enough play to pull the insulation down over the yellow part of the magnet. I’d suggest tossing the alligator clip in the round bin. 2. The insulated yellow part over the magnet is designed for tiny hands. There’s no protective ring or extra space to prevent your finger from sliding too far forward and touching something you shouldn’t touch. There’s a resistor in the pen and red LED that will go out when it’s been discharged. I’d still use this in combo with an insulated screwdriver and multimeter, before removing the capacitor. Better safe than sorry.

This is a must have if you are opening tube amplifiers. Discharges caps fast with just a touch. LED blinks on for less than 2 sec to show the voltage is safe. Be sure to touch each power supply filter. Good seller. Good shipper.

I am finally done with ^%*&%^#@ in pain tinkering with the wiring on my homemade elevator driven by a garage hoist with a capacitor included motor. I first thought that it was not working because nothing happened but then the led lit up when I actually had a charge on the capacitor. The instructions are idiot proof; ground it, touch a live capacitor wire and it over in a flash.
