My experience with using stainless steels and fire rods isn't good** A: Yes it can. I bought mine as a gift. But, Dave Canterbury has a video on face book demonstrating the Mora Eldris. He starts a fire with the knife and ferro rod that comes with the knife **Q: Is this a superior build quality than their other knives? The price seems to be high compared to their other offerings.** A: I own a mora stainless companion and mora stainless orange bushcraft and I find the eldris to have the same build quality as the others. I feel that the handle, although smaller, is of a better design. **Q: is it full tang** A: The Morakniv Garberg is full tang. It's Mora's only full tang knife. You can see the tang coming out the bottom of the handle. **Q: May I buy the sheath\fire starter alone?
