This is great! I wanted to try teaching my hound to tether so she can enjoy more time outside while my Cavalier just wants to cuddle. (Both recent rescues) Also so I can take them more places with me. I looked at lots of stakes since the Brittany's we had used to be able to pull out traditional stakes. Also it's been such a WET season I wasn't sure any stake could hold. This does! Only a few minutes to install (used screwdriver to twist the last few turns, which is good because it will hold longer) and very sturdy. Both dogs (and I) hung out outside today for almost an hour and it didn't budge. I can tell when they get used to it and start darting after birds (I'm also using the bungee leash extensions on the dog and of the tethers, for their safety) it will hold well, even in grassy wet soil. This thing IS LEGIT. There is no way this thing is going anywhere. In fact, I was worried my dog would break his neck before learning that he's tied off and can't run full force through the yard. He's a 75lb pit bull and very strong. I was highly impressed with the thickness of the metal and the system to place it. I put 4 stars only because there's no way I could have put it in myself, my husband had a hard time getting it down into the ground (our ground is very hard and has a lot of rocks.)

I bought this for my pitbull who has managed to break-out of / destroy every crate / tie out / containment unit I've bought so far. I paired this super sturdy tie out with a braided metal tie out (rated for dogs up to 200+ lbs) and so far this has held steady. He did recently manage to pull on this so hard he snapped his metal chain collar but that just showed me the strength of this tie out stake, that the collar failed before the stake or tie out did. So far so good, I would say would buy again, but it seems like I won't need to worry about another one. Great purchase, would recommend especially for strong / stubborn dogs who refuse to be crated / confined

This product is great! This is my second one because I ran over the first one with a large, powerful John Deere Tracker while mowing the grass three times. It nicked the top part but still held up fine. I bought this one as a backup in case I do it again. It if very sturdy and works great for dogs that are powerful and strong. I have a 60+ pd Catahoula that is all muscle and with all her tugging, the Intellileash keeps its position. I have a 30 foot rope attached to it and the swivel attachment keeps the rope from being knotted up. I would definitely recommend this product.

We had tried a number of tie-out stakes with our 9 month old GSD. All of them failed. Some tore out of the ground, some broke off, none kept him in place. He is only tied out over night, but we needed something that was durable. I saw this particular one, and for the price, I figured it would not hurt to try. I cannot express how completely satisfied we are with this product. I would recommend it over and over again. I would say we will continue to purchase this same tie-out, however, with the sturdy, well crafted item, we will likely not need another. We will for certain use this company for all of our other leash needs.

When camping, we have to keep our dogs on leashes at all times. We bought this tie out to help keep them tethered but also a bit out of the way so they were getting themselves tangled on too many things. It went into the ground very nicely, and it kept two dogs on it without coming out. Each dog is about 35lbs or so, and there were a few times they pulled at it to either attempt to get a squirrel, or to follow me or my husband when we walked off the campsite. Happy with the purchase, and the durability of it.

This stake really is as amazing as advertised! We’ve used it over a year now with our 40 lb shar pei (who is built like a tank) and are still just as happy with it as the first day we used it. We have, however, been through 3 cables that attach to the stake as we haven’t discovered an equally amazing indestructible cable, yet. It is important to install properly or it will not work as designed. Ensure the orange part of the locking mechanism on the stake is twisted firmly into the part of the locking mechanism placed in the ground. The part in the ground should not move freely once installed or the plug of grass inside may become dislodged and prevent the locking feature from working. I did encounter a few areas where the ground was either too hard or too soft to install properly, so I just moved it to a different location. We did not leave it outside in the harsh winter months, so I don’t know how it would perform in those conditions but it was left in the ground (moved locations a couple times) the rest of the year. This is also very easy to travel with and we have confidence our dog will stay safely on leash and enjoy the outdoors with us wherever we go.

My 100+ lbs dog pulled this right out without even trying. He tends to freak out when I bring out the water hose to give him a bath. I was going to get a regular stake but figured I cold use all the help I could get since my dog is so big. He danced around a bit and pulled the stake right out. The stake itself seems well built but I don't really see how the design helps prevent pulling to the side. For big dogs they should have made something that goes deeper to prevent side movement. It was worth a shot. I don't regret buying this since it is a nice stake, but you can get a regular stake as the added parts don't make a difference.

Really easy to use and very strong once it’s in the ground. You do need some sort of bar to get it all the way down as it gets really difficult the deeper it goes. We used the wheel brace off our van and it worked perfectly! I was a bit worried about it holding our two dogs (combined weight about 30kg) but it was absolutely fine even with them forgetting they were tethered and running about.
