YCS basics 3 Foot USB Micro Male to Micro Female OTG Adapter Cable

This did the job exactly as you would expect. I bought it because I had an attachment I was trying to use (Seek XR) on my phone while the phone was in a lifeproof case. As it was, I didn't have enough length to plug it in and this extension resolved that issue for me. The only thing that didn't work out for me is that, particular to the Seek XR, I had hoped to have enough length to put that camera next to the phone camera (taping it in place) and this is a relatively short extension cord so it just didn't extend that far. Certainly no problem of the cable's but worthwhile info to anyone that may be considering this for the same reason that you may want to opt for longer, 12 inch by my guess.

My Audi Q7 has a built in USB data interface (with purchase of micro-usb adapter cable to Audi MMI connector) to connect a phone to the factory navigation/audio system. I primarily use this to charge my phone. Audi, in their infinite wisdom believes that you will never want to clutter your interior with a visible phone, and have the data cable in the glove compartment. The factory adapter cable is about 5 inches long. Therefore, using my phone for something useful like the WAZE GPS app is not easily accomplished with my phone closed in the glove compartment. I can easily leave the glove compartment open to see the phone screen. However, every insurance and registration document falls out while accelerating. So, I am faced with dumping papers in my wife's lap or having a depleted phone battery when we arrive at our destination. This cable has solved this dilemma. The cable is a quality, flexible, cable and the connectors are very sturdy. I've only had this cable for a few days. However, this cable appears to be well built and should give a long time of service. Currently, I'm closing the glove compartment on the cable and leaving enough out of the glove compartment to read the dash. With time, I intend to fish the cable through the dash and have it sticking out of the center stack of the dash, as a semi-permanent install. This cable is everything I needed. At its current reasonable price (less than $6,) I will use it until I wear it out it in the "harsh environment" of daily use in an automobile. When/if it breaks, I'll just replace it with the exact cable as a spare.

I bought this cable to use as an extension cable for my SEEK IR camera, which wouldn't plug into my S5 due to the door that seals the usb/charging port. The cable worked perfectly and had a plug that was small enough that it would plug in with my Pelican case on my phone. The added benefit to this configuration is that you can aim the camera without moving the phone. If you are using the camera for inspection work it will fit in spots that you can't put your phone and it still allows you to see your screen. The cable was a great addition to the camera and worked great.

This works perfectly as an extension between my Galaxy Note 4 and my Seek Thermal camera. I have yet to try it for any other purpose, but for $6, I'm happy if that's all it does! The cable itself feels very sturdy, and I have not seen any signs of wear in the 6 weeks that I've had it. I use the camera (and therefore the cable) about 2 times daily on average, for various temperature readings, and I carry the pair on the outside of my lunch box, so it gets banged around pretty often. I will be sure to post any problems if I ever have them!

I recently bought a dash cam that uses a cigarette lighter to keep it charged. The only issue I was having with it is that the cable itself it too short. I needed about another 1.5 feet in order to properly run the charging wire around my car. This little cable gave me the length I needed to run the wire properly. The connections are nice and snug and feel confident it will hold, even without using black tape to hold them together. I'm very happy with this.

I've been using this cable to connect my Celsus Sound Companion One amp/DAC to my Sony Xperia Z3 (Android-based) smartphone, and it works just fine!! The cable had to be OTG to work, and this does what it's supposed to do, so it must be a genuine OTG cable. And it's USB 2.0 High Speed too, for best results! Highly recommended!! It was a bit hard to find surprisingly here on Amazon, so if this is the cable you need, look no further and buy it now.

This is the cable you want if you only want to plug in On-The-Go (OTG) capable devices sometimes. The issue is the OTG indicator pins are already shorted together, so it is always in OTG mode. In other words, no charging or syncing (4-Wire mode) capabilities with this cable. If you want to actually extend all 5-Wires of the port so you can charge/sync and also plug in OTG devices, then you'll need the full 5-Wire version (B0134XUJN2). Don't be confused by the other 4-Wire cable that only does charging and syncing, but doesn't do OTG. Per the USB spec, the 5th wire is shorted to indicate the connected device needs the phone in OTG mode and it is left disconnected/floating when in charge/sync mode, so if you want to be able to do both, then the 5th wire has to be extended from the phone to the end of the extension. In other words unless you know you will never use this extension for anything other than OTG devices, you don't want it.

Excellent micro USB extension cable. Works well to extend my USB cell phone connection and for charging extension. Does not support OTG.

I use this cable with flir one to give me reach. Around engines and H-vac systems. plugs in to my phone and the flir one and it works very good. A good tool for me . it is a good price. thanks

As the other review says, this cable works with the Seek Thermal camera, the only reason I bought the cable. Don't waste your money on unverified $1/$2 cables, just pay for something that is verified to work.
