the product is awesome i don't use it very often , but it got returned to me missing a latch! it's not much good with a latch missing !! like i said to begin with this carrier is awesome if i had three latches it would be a five star review !! i would even buy another one if it came with another latch

If you take pies to places other than your kitchen table, you'll want this. It easily holds two pies, the locks are sturdy, and it's easy to store as it is collapsible. This is the second one I've purchased, which was for a baker friend of mine.

I purchased this pie carrier on a recommendation from America's Test Kitchen to safely transport my first Pennsylvania Dutch Apple Pie to the lake house for Labor Day weekend. Worked perfectly! The non-skid gripper rings in the bottom kept everything intact for the trip and preserved the contents beautifully. I like that this also functions as a carrier for 28 deviled egg halves. The lid is high enough to accommodate either two regular pies or one high profile one (such as lemon merengue) but also collapses down for efficient storage. Well thought-out design!

I love the features this has (deviled egg holders, collapsible lid, etc). But when it arrived, one of the red clips was broken in half and laying in the bottom of the box. So I returned it and got a new one... and it also arrived with a broken clip. I contacted Amazon about this and hope to get one with all 3 clips in one piece. Will update the review after it arrives... Edit: finally got a good one. The pie carrier works as advertised. The clips are a little on the flimsy side, but once snapped on appear to hold the bottom just fine. To be on the safe side, I still carry from the bottom instead of the handle on top.

I use this to carry fruit and pecan pies to events. I make 9" pies, and I can fit both pies in the carrier, as advertised, and they don't slide around when I'm driving. (However, if you're only carrying one pie in the bottom layer, it has more wiggle room and could move a little.) The bottom of the carrier has a raised no slip ring, which helps since the bottom of the carrier is a little larger than a 9" pie plate. The domed top gives enough room for two double crust pies, or perhaps one double crust pie and one meringue pie. The latches on the side feel very secure and snap audibly into place. I don't rely on the handle, preferring the security of carrying it from the bottom due to the weight (pyrex pie dishes loaded up with rhubarb pie are actually pretty heavy), but the handle didn't actually feel like it was going to snap or give out. Update: Still holding up beautifully as of July 2016. Bonus feature: If you're only transporting one pie, you can leave the cover in its collapsed position so it takes up less room.

I have always wanted a pie keeper that would hold more than one pie for taking somewhere. This is very nice! I got one for both of my sisters, who give me nice homemade gifts at Christmas. I needed to step it up and this will be a welcome addition to their kitchen equipment I feel sure. It is nicely made and seems very sturdy. I cannot imagine those snap locks on the sides (there are three) giving way unless you make a lead pie! The ability to do two dozen deviled eggs instead of pie is wonderful if you are like me, make excellent deviled eggs and live in the South, where good deviled eggs are as valued as pearls! You'll love this!

I really do like this as a pie holder. I used it to transport pumpkin pies at Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, it would not hold two pies because one of them was a very deep dish Emile Henry ceramic pie dish. So it will only hold one deep dish pie, but it would hold two standard depth pies. I like it so much, however, that I will probably purchase another one for two deep-dish pies. I think this will be great to hold deviled eggs, and also other desserts. I love the collapsible feature of the top -- and it is still very sturdy when popped up... great feature!

If you want to carry 2 flat pies, this is great. If you want to carry deviled eggs, this is great. If you want to carry a 9” pie pan with a rim or little ledge handles, this will NOT fit. If you want to carry a deep dish pie (such as deep dish apple), plus a flat pie (such as pumpkin) this will not work. With just a tiny bit more space, this would be a wonderful pie keeper.

Me gusta hornear y siempre estaba en búsqueda de dónde guardar mis panes y pasteles, pero no tengo espacio para guardar un contenedor de estas dimensiones, el hecho de que el domo se colapse es muy conveniente, el material es de buena calidad y tiene la adición de las bases par huevos, en mi caso no le he dado uso, pero pude almacenar empanadas en la parte de abajo de la base y en la parte de arriba, lo cual resultó en mayor aprovechamiento del espacio. Es seguro de transportar con la jareta, la tapa está sujeta firmemente.

The carrier seals well to keep baked goods fresh and is the perfect size to accommodate a 12” pie. If using a smaller crust just afix your pie plate with a small piece of tape on the bottom to prevent sliding and damaging your pie.

Absolutely the best pie carrier...and it also can carry devilled eggs with the special dividers ...it folds flat for easy storage...very good product!!
