Nope, different. "9V Ultimate lithium" are Energizer's current product. Energizer '9V Advanced lithium' has been discontinued so I'd bet that those are old stock. Be sure to check the expiration date. BP-2 just indicates there are two batteries in each individual package. No designation, A plain BP, or Bp-1 would indicate a single battery per package. BP4 would be a 4 pack, etc.

Is there any chance of these batteries used in a smoke detector exploding and causing a fire?

Virtually none. This type of battery constuction is by far the most stable of all common types. These are much safer and more stable than NiMH such as rechargeables or "standard" batteries which are generally Alkaline. I use these in any sensitive devices or devices not used often but important. As such I use these in my own smoke detectors and have never had any issue. For what it is worth I've been a FireFighter for 25+ years, so yes they are safe. The one thing to be aware of is that if your smoke detector is hard wired and requires a rechargeable battery as a backup power source then do not use these. These are not rechargeable batteries.
