I haven’t used this long enough to know if it works, but it’s a lot easier than other toothpastes to apply to my cat’s teeth for two reasons: it’s thick, and it smells like nothing. One of my cats loves toothpaste from other brands. He will be so enthusiastic about trying to eat it that I can’t get any on his teeth. This one he tolerates but doesn’t register it as a treat, so he’s extremely disappointed when I use it but this allows me to actually brush his teeth at all. My other cat hates all toothpaste including this one, but it seems to be neutral enough that she lets me put it on her teeth without foaming at the mouth in disgust, so again it actually makes it onto her teeth and stays there for more than a second. The consistency seems to help the paste stay intact until it’s applied, rather than soaking into the toothbrush bristles like others I’ve tried. Anyway, the best cat toothpaste is the one you can actually use, so this is great for me.

These toothpaste is excellent! My dog had brown discoloration on a couple of teeth on each side of the mouth, even with nearly daily brushing. I tried "Paw science dental wipes", baking soda, vinegar, vinegar with baking soda, gentle scraping with dental scraper, dental treats, raw bones, "Beaphar" toothpaste, "Arm and Hammer" toothpaste, with and without charcoal and "Vet's Best" toothpaste. Nothing worked and I was mentally preparing myself for the professional teeth cleaning just because of these 4 teeth. Then I bought "Petsmile" toothpaste. Brown film is already mostly gone in less than a month! Somebody here posted a photo of before and after. Believe them! Works like a charm on my dog too. And my beauty enjoys the chicken flavor and never minds tooth brushing.

Does it's job but my dog doesn't seem to like the taste. She's always tolerated getting her teeth brushed, but since using this product she actively hides from it. I think I'll be going back to her old toothpaste brand.

Ok I never leave reviews on any product. But I felt the need to leave one on this product. I have 5 dacshunds and I do clean their teeth with dental tools. But I find if I use this product I don’t have to clean with tools nearly do often. I’m an old vet tech and have never seen a product like this one and believe me thru the years o have used them all. My dogs teeth are pearly white do to this product. I will never buy another tooth paste. This is the one for us.

Bought these for my frenchy and my sons dogie!!! The dogs love to get their teeth brushed bet it’s the taste of CHICKEN!!! They are Vet approved so I knew they were safe!! Am on our second go round!!!

Our veterinarian recommended this toothpaste for our senior chiweenie after she needed several dental extractions. She likes the toothpaste but does not tolerate a toothbrush so we smear a bit of this paste on both sides of a dental treat and give this to her daily. This has greatly help reduce tartar and gum disease. It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth the money.

This toothpaste is recommended by the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Both my dogs have tarter on their teeth and this toothpaste is helping.

PURCHASED 12/2024 - Petsmile Professional Pet Toothpaste - Cat & Dog Toothpaste for Plaque, Tartar, & Bad Breath - VOHC Accepted Non Enzymatic Dental Care for Cat & Dog Teeth Cleaning (Rotisserie Chicken, 4.2 Oz) I was using another popular brand of dog toothpaste and decided to give this one a try after reading about it somewhere. It's good dog toothpaste for what it is. It's better than nothing, but it's not all that I had read it would be. It's not terrible and you're not harming your dog if you use it, it's just not as good as what I was using before. The smell is a bit weird and there is nothing "fresh" about the smell of the paste but brushing your dog's teeth helps dog breath in and of itself so, there is that. It cleans your dog's teeth so long as you are consistent with it because there is no magic for teeth that already have build-up and bad breath because of not having a routine teeth brushing regimen. The large flip cap and plastic squeeze tube is convenient as well. I'm not saying don't buy this or that it's not good. I'm just saying I prefer what we were using before if I had to choose between the two.
