This SK-II serum is a thick, moisturizing serum. It absorbs well into my skin, leaving it feeling hydrated. It has a very noticeable perfume fragrance. The quality is good. The bottle is a heavy, sturdy glass, which feels high end. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I struggle with the dropper. I can see there is serum in the dropper, but pushing the button on top over and over only releases a drop. I don’t know if there is something wrong with the serum, the dropper, or me. The value isn’t quite there for me with my personal budget. Anti-aging serums come in all types of varieties. You find them at major department stores at various price points. Each one has their own advertised benefits. Like any other typical skin care product, visible results comes with time. The SK-II Skinpower Essence hydrating serum is unique in the fact that results are almost immediate. For example, after first application, I noticed my skin to be more firm and silky smooth after just one application. Now, I did prepare my face first by gently cleaning making sure facial oils and debris were removed. Then I let me face dry for about 15 minutes. Next, using the included eyedropper, I poured a few drops in the palms of my hands and mixed it, then I applied the serum on to my face massaging the left side first, and then the right side. The serum was thick and not light. It was not runny. It had a pleasant scent, even though I prefer unscented, I made an exception giving this product the benefit of the doubt. Keep in mind, this is a ultra premium priced product. The expectations are high. It is packaged well, designed well, and I do like the red color for it stands out. It just makes it more luxurious. Initial thoughts are my face after one application felt rejuvenated. It felt softer and younger. Now, the fine lines which is typical for people over 50 were still there, and that was expected. The manufacturer advertised fine line reduction in about 4 weeks. I noticed a reduction in week 3. Week 4 went as expected, and week 6-8 reflected a major change in my face. This product did what was expected and advertised. Be cognizant, I have tried other more expensive well known brands from major department stores with decent results. This product did much more in a shorter amount of time given its premium price tag, it still was less than what you can find at the stores. Therefore, I am very pleased with the outcome. I like this serum a lot. I recommend it.

I've been really pleased wit the results from this serum. I have larger pores on my and right above my labial folds that I just figured would be there forever. I didn't have "stuff" in those pores -- they were just open. This has shrunk them a surprising amount. I say this as someone who has been using moisturizers and serums for 30 years -- this stuff works! I also find it is good for those fine lines (and not-so-fine lines) under the eyes. It is so hydrating!!! It leaves my skin feeling so soft and with a smooth texture, a perfect palate for makeup (although I do apply moisturizer after the serum. The scent is light and pleasant. I thought the price was outrageous until I used it, but now I think it's worth every penny.

I am new to the SK-II brand. I have tried so many anti-aging serums over the years. Some work, some don't. I have seen real results after using this Skinpower Essence face serum for only a few weeks. My skin isn't terrible but I do have some signs of aging (fine lines around my eyes and forehead), somewhat large pores, and some dry areas. This serum isn't runny and watery like most. It's more like a silky gel, making it easy to apply. It spreads easily and feels great on my skin! No redness, no irritation, no burning. It is surprisingly lightweight and leaves my skin feeling silky and smooth, NOT greasy and coated. Unlike many serums that I have tried, I found this one to be quite moisturizing. My skin feels so silky smooth after working it in! I have combination skin (oily in some areas, dry in others) and didn't have any issues with it leaving my dry areas tight or flaky. I wasn't crazy about the scent. It was WAY too perfumey for my liking. Thankfully, while it is strong while applying, it seems to dissipate quickly. After several weeks of consistent, twice daily use, I have seen noticeable results. My skin looks tighter and my complexion looks fantastic. I do think some of the fine lines around my eyes have smoothed out and everything just looks and feels more radiant!

I like trying new products for my skin - especially going into winter I like finding products that will help hydrate my skin. This serum comes out with a dropper and it is a good consistency serum to me - glad it isn’t too watery to apply to my face so it doesn’t just run off my skin. It does feel like it hydrates my skin when I apply it. It didn’t breakout my skin at all - but I don’t normally have any issues with my skin and using any products. I don’t like using products in my face that have a fragrance to them and this one has a strong fragrance to it. That’s the only reason I didn’t give it a 5 - it’s just not something you want to apply and continue to smell for a bit while it sits on your skin.

This is my first time trying an SK-II skincare product and I am throughly impressed! I added this as the last step in my nightly skincare routine and I am already seeing and feeling a noticeable difference in my skin's texture. My skin feel so nice and hydrated. I have acne scars and fine lines and this serum is making those areas feel softer and my foundation goes on much smoother. One dropper goes a long way. I really like that the dropper self fills so it takes the guess work out as far as dispensing the recommended amount. I apply this serum on my face and also down my neck. I love the glow that this gives my skin!! This has a light clean scent to it but nothing overpowering, I don't notice the scent after applying. I am super impressed by the quality and results from this product after only one week of use so I'd say this is worth it at the current price point!

This product has an incredible amount of ingredients in it. Most of which I know nothing about. The dropper dispenser is not my favorite. No matter how much you think you are filling it up or pressing the little rubber top to dispense it, you only get a small amount. Not enough for me to get an appropriate amount on my face. There is a floral fragrance to this serum, but luckily it dissipates fairly quick. The serum goes on smooth, isn't sticky, and absorbs within a few minutes. I have been using this product morning and night for over a week and maybe have noticed a very small difference in my pores, but not really anything in the fine lines on my face, or in my skin texture. The $205 price tag seems incredible. It needs to be a miracle product to cost that much and so far I'm not seeing it.
