Looks and works great. Would buy again.
Great value for the money, looks great. Very sturdy 1inch in diameter. After reading other reviews I used I heat gun on the stickers and they came off no problem. A blow dryer would probably also work. The bend is a little tight for me but I have big hands. I might sand a groove for my pinky to fit better. I'm 6' 2" tall. it's just a half inch short for me out of the box but easily usable. Overall I would buy again.

Sturdy for Safety
Looked for a good, sturdy, well made Cane for both of us, and these fit our specifications. The color is kind of odd, but they do have a metal rod inside the wood, which adds to secure strength. These are handy for many purposes when out and about these days, and will hang on a shopping cart easily. They are of a good weight and we hope to use them for many more years to come. Thank You!

Sturdy, real Walnut wood, not fake.
Correction to my previous review. THIS IS AWAOME! It is Walnut(I love natural woods). It is super sturdy for a big man like me.

Good cane; not walnut
I've used a cane occasionally when I had a sore knee or ankle and when hiking, but recently my wheelchair-bound wife's neurosurgeon said, "The best time to start using a cane is before you fall and hurt yourself, not after." That set me thinking. I'm not as steady on my feet as I used to be and I have stumbled on occasion. I decided to start using a cane regularly. I have a cane I made myself from a cherry tree branch. It's the perfect length for me and elegantly rustic, but the grip angle could be better. After using it on several long walks, I decided I needed a cane easier on my hand. I ordered this one. The folks who say the stickers are hard to get off should get a life and quit whining. I had to shorten it to keep my back straight, but it is strong. The write up says the cane is walnut. As a wood worker, would not choose brittle walnut as the best choice for a cane; this cane is walnut color but the wood is something close to oak or ash and stained walnut brown. I docked them a star for inaccuracy, but I think the cane is reasonably priced, strong, the handle has a good curve, and it looks great. I'm ordering a second.

Cane
Nice sturdy cane. Good finish. Low price. I've bought and made several canes. Probably will make a few more. I'm will eventually sand this one and stain it with dark oak. For now, just use it.

5 star value
For the price this is a fantastic value. I was looking at some specialized canes that cost 10 times as much but wasnโt convinced I would actually like using a cane so I decided to give this a try. It came well packaged but with minimal product information - no details of where it was made or what type of wood. About the only significant detail that I can remember was that somewhere it listed 250 pounds as the weight limit. A lot of people give advice on how to remove the two stickers that come on the cane. I just scratched them off with my fingernails. The finish is tough and wasnโt damaged. And although there was a little residue, after about a week the exposure to some humidity allowed my to rub the sticky off. Length wise this cane is right about 36โ. I think that is perfect for anyone about 6โ tall or shorter as it would be easy enough to remove the rubber tip, cut to length, and replace the tip if you need a shorter cane. A quick note on the tip. I looked it up the listed name, it is a NEV-A-SLIP rubber tip with a metal insert. I think that is where the confusion in the item description comes from the metal inset. The metal is in the rubber tip, not the wooden shaft. Also, although the cane is solid hardwood, it is not hickory. I did some carving on the cane and it appears to be some type poplar wood with an added hickory stain and light varnish. Iโm just under 6โ2โ so it isnโt a perfect length for me, but as I stated earlier I just wanted to carry it around and see how I liked having an extra accessory. Additional, I ended up adding an inside horn cut as the hook was not wide enough to comfortably do the old Charlie Chaplin swing prior to the modification. Ultimately this cane has been a great companion on my daily hikes through some single track trails behind my neighborhood. I often swing it in front of me to clear out spiderwebs. Also I have run into some folks walking their dogs off leash and the old crotch sniffers instinctively give me more comfortable spacing. Eventually I will upgrade to an expensive oak or hickory cane but for now I am more than happy with this cane.

Sturdy and elegant!
Nice cane, simple and elegant, with a sturdy rubber end that makes it practical. Needed it while recovering and felt good about using it. It did not make me feel as if I was getting old and feeble, instead I felt kind of cool and stylish!

Works great. Nice and solid
I switched from a quad cane to this. Works great. Nice and solid, and the height was good with out modification. I recommend this product. Was $25 when I ordered.

a good old fashioned cane
I bought this cane to replace my ergonomic one as the latter cannot be hooked onto anything and I spend more time picking it up off the floor than I care to think about...the umbrella hook in this cane is excellent for hooking onto the back of a chair etc. I bought the walnut version instead of the oak. Love it

A bargain compared to others of equal quality
I weigh 235lbs and this cane is plenty strong enough for me. The handle is a little small for my extra large hands but does allow a comfortable three finger grip. I am 5'9" and the length was sufficient enough that I had to cut off about two inches. The rubber end piece is good quality and provides good grip on most surfaces. My best guess would be that the wood is ash stained to appear like walnut. The finish seems thin and I don't expect it to last long but may result in a very nice patina. Overall a very good deal and quite a nice looking cane in my opinion.
