Obscure: Observing the Cure

I have fallen in love with this book. I will admit when I first opened it I thought this wasn't worth the price. But later that evening I REALLY looked at it, and what impresses me most is the newer pictures over the last few years. We the fans have experienced an amazing time in Cure history with festivals and Teenage Cancer Trust etc. We have followed the concerts on forums (CureConnections/the Cure Community or any other) and social media. Yes we want new material (promised releases, more proper Cure concerts on their own) but what a wonderful time as a community of fans we have experienced. I'm glad these moments were captured for us to flood us with those memories. I'm ready for The Cure to release all they can, we the fans want it, they are part of us and our lives. The pictures are "artfully" taken, exactly what we'd expect from the Cure, from older pictures to the newer photos that we hold dear to our heart. I love The Cure more now than I did 30 years ago. Thank you Andy Vella for the newer photos, it shows The Cure have lasting power. This is a must have for Cure fans, especially if you have been involved and participated in the more recent festivals and shows, yes I love the newer photos the most.

Beautiful Book

My heart shivers with joy! Adore the book. Been a huge Cure fan since the early 8o's. Old school Cure fans will love it! So glad my wife loves them just as much as I do~ because she's getting it for the holidays. Double win. Love you Robby Smitty!

I love all the pics. Yes, there isn't much text because it is a photo book. Good accompaniment to ten imaginary years. I would recommend this book if you love the cure. Shipping and packaging good.

Great colorful thick pages. I was hoping for more unseen behind the scene pics though. Perfect coffee table book for any The Cure fan household.

Beautiful book. A treasure.

While I got what was promised with this book, I'm still a bit disappointed with it. The pros: The pictures are captivating, and the book itself is pleasing to the eye and touch. If you are a fan of the Cure (as am I), you probably won't be sorry if you purchase this book. That being said... The cons: The foreword by RS is paltry, to say the least. Additionally, the font used for his foreword makes it hard to read. I understand that it's his handwriting (perhaps) that the publisher wanted to recreate, but it's hard on the eyes. Also, don't expect any sort of information other than the bare (and I mean BARE) minimum in terms of what each photograph depicts.
