I got the string cleaner as a stocking stuffer without realizing what a big hit it would be! Useful, effective, easy to use.

Cheap and useless

Great for at-home use - cleans string very thoroughly!
While gigging I use a MusicNomad String Fuel string cleaner on my basses in between sets. More often on summer outdoor gigs. However, the Saphue string cleaner is really nice for cleaning stings thoroughly at home. Very easy to use and man you should see the gunk that comes from cleaning the top AND underside of each string as well as the fretboard! For live gig use this cleaner may be just a bit messier and time consuming than you need in a quick clean situation. (Pro/Cheapo Tip: Instead of paying for fluid refills I just spray a little WD40 on the pad and go. I've used WD40 for decades now and It works very well to help maintain consistent tone and sound.)

Too thick
Item is good, however itโs thick so putting it under and over the strings at the same time puts stress on the strings. If it were thinner it would be perfect

This product became of my most beloved tools for shows and rehearsals. I use it with the dunlop string oil a it's a marvel
