They can eventually open it BUT it really slows then down and allows me to catch them before they get out the door. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A++ *by C***1 on December 8, 2025* Worked perfect for my aging mother ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works with downward latching mechanism; does not prevent opening with upward pull though *by K***A on October 7, 2025* Pretty straightforward! Sticks well. Be advised though, this will only work on handles that have downward mechanism, our handles open with upward as well so you can still open doors! You don’t get locked in that way which is nice but kind of defeats the purpose.
