Margot, a world-renowned pianist, returns to Chateau Neuhaus to spend the holidays with her family and rediscover her passion for music. While there, her ex-boyfriend and former bandmate Jackson, convinces her to headline the annual Christmas Concert and working together brings back all their old feelings. Review: My review - Very good movie Review: A Lovely Christmas Treat - I am not sure where the setting is supposed to be. The opening scenes seem to be set in NYC at Christmas, but the vast majority of the film appears to unfold at the famous ski chateau-style hotel at Mt. Whistler in British Columbia. The scenery is great, the story is warm, the music is unusually good, and the lead actors are both super. The relationship between them is fun to watch being rekindled after an absence of at least a decade or more of having once performed classical music as partners in their younger careers. Merritt Patterson is wonderful. The secondary story of a classical strings quartet of more senior musicians also adds a nice dimension to the overall plot. The classical music is so good that Hallmark should offer it on a CD set apart from the lovely film itself. This is definitely a keeper.

Somehow the two leads didn't really click with me
I love Luke McFarlane. He has such a big, warm personality-kind of soothing in a way. Merritt Patterson is a good actress but seemed stilted with her words. Her personality is more reserved and cool, so the connection wasn't really there between them. The story was okay. Very Christmassy. Whistler, Canada is gorgeous and probably at its best at Christmas-time. A good movie to watch...just not one I would gush over.

Delightful.
I enjoyed watching this having borrowed it from the library. Speaks well of a film when you’ve seen it and decide to purchase it. Great cast, wonderful score.

Another great XMAS story especially for Hallmark!
Hallmark does a wonderful movie making but usually very campy storyline but this one seems more realistic to me. Usually there movies are either the main character is divorced or widow(er).
