Great compact printer for basic tasks at an excellent price.
First off, the "What's in the Box" blurb on the page that I ordered from was incorrect: the printer does not come with a CD or a USB cable. It does come with the two necessary ink cartridges: one for color and one for black. That said, the CD is really not necessary, and I purchased a USB cable from Amazon for $8.99 which was delivered the next day. Setup was simple, following the very clear and easy instructions. Going online to 123.hp.com gets you to the software download, accomplished quickly in simple steps. I opted out of the automatic ink option, since this is a printer that will not be used frequently. After the connections and setup were done, the single test page printed, in color, very quickly. I also printed a page that was simply text - it printed very quickly (less than 5 seconds from hitting the "print" option on the app). There is a recent review as of this writing that complains that the printing is very slow, but I would guess that is a local software or connection problem, and not a problem with the printer, unless the unit is defective in some way. All in all very pleased with the footprint (it sits with room to spare on a 20" X 10" side table top), ease of use, functionality, quality, and value. Update 7-18-2023: Still a good, compact, reliable printer for light use and basic tasks. But I have it directly connected and dedicated to a single desktop computer, so I can't comment on the WiFi issues. I must modify my initial statement about how quickly it prints text - my first pages were MS-Word documents, and it worked flawlessly and fast. Printing text from PDF files is much slower, about 45 to 60 seconds per page. So not a printer I would recommend for high volume PDF file printing.

Fantastic quality and functionality from a cheap printer
Love it (and I'm a whiney complainer). I bought a Canon Pixma (NEVER MAKE THIS MISTAKE!) but soon learned that it was difficult to maintain. This is because the cartridges must go into the receiver thingy (LOL) at an angle or the print head gets damaged. This HP, like every HP I have purchased just snaps in easily. The print quality of this HP is fantastic printing color pictures onto regular copy paper! The Canon Pixma (no matter how much I tried aligning the print cartridges) prints horizontal streaks on every single color pic or diagram. All of my HP's in the past have lasted at least 2 years. The canon Pixma lasted 12 months, stopped printing, and will only flash trouble codes which translated to "TAKE THIS PO$ TO AN AUTHORIZED CANON SERVICE CENTER". One thing which doesn't bother me: the Canon printed much faster (but who cares with all of the problems?).

Small Printer. Big Winโthanks to Instant Ink!
I bought the refurbished HP DeskJet 3755 because I needed something small, functional, and affordableโand it absolutely checks those boxes. This is one of the most compact all-in-one printers you can buy, and if space is limited (apartment, dorm, office nook, kitchen counter), itโs honestly perfect. But hereโs what I learned after using itโthings you wonโt know just from the listing: โญ What I love โข The size is unbeatable. It takes up almost no room. Itโs sleek, lightweight, and easy to move around. โข It handles scans better than expected. The Scroll Scan feature is surprisingly effective, even with stiffer paper. Great for quick documents, forms, IDs, etc. โข Refurbished unit looks and works like new. Mine arrived spotless with all the accessories, cartridges, and cablesโno sign that it wasnโt brand new. โข Works well with phones. Once connected, printing from my iPhone is instant. The HP Smart App makes scanning and copying from your phone genuinely easy. ๐ What shoppers need to know โข The wireless setup can be picky. This is the biggest complaint, and I get it. Mine connected after a few tries, but if your Wi-Fi is finicky, it may take patience. Tip: Connect through the HP Smart Appโitโs WAY easier than using the printerโs buttons. โข This is not a fast printer. It prints slowlyโthis is for lists, recipes, forms, labels, and everyday use. Not bulk printing. โข Itโs great for light use, not heavy-duty jobs. Perfect for home tasksโฆ not ideal for printing a 200-page novel. โข The print quality is good, not studio-level. Crisp documents, decent color printsโexactly what most people need. โญ Why I still gave it 4 stars Because for the priceโespecially refurbishedโyou get an all-in-one printer, scanner, copier, and wireless device that fits anywhere. Yes, itโs slower and can be stubborn with Wi-Fi, but if you want a compact home printer for everyday tasks, this is honestly a great buy. ๐งพ Bottom line If you need something powerful, fast, and office-sized, this isnโt it. If you want something affordable, tiny, easy to fit anywhere, and great for casual home printing, the HP 3755 is a solid choice. One of the biggest reasons I feel totally confident using this compact printer is the Instant Ink program. Letโs talk about what makes it great, how it works, and what to watch for (because transparency = trust!). โ Why I love Instant Ink Never scramble for ink again: My printer monitors the ink levels and signals HP when Iโm getting low. They automatically ship the replacement cartridges so Iโm never stuck. HP+2HP+2 Color = same price as black & white: Unlike traditional cartridges where color often costs more, with Instant Ink your pagesโcolor or black and whiteโcost the same under your plan. HP+1 Flexible plans: Whether you print a little or a lot, you pick your monthly page-limit plan. And if your printing changes, you can switch plans any time. HP+1 Free recycling included: HP sends prepaid envelopes to recycle your used cartridgesโso youโre doing better for your wallet and the environment. Inkjets.com+1 โ ๏ธ What you should know Your printer and Wi-Fi must stay online: The program relies on the printer sending page counts and ink-level data. If the connection goes offline, the system may not trigger a cartridge shipment in time. LD Products+1 Pages countโnot how much ink: Even a page with one line of text uses up one page from your monthly allotment. Itโs important if youโre watching your plan limits. LD Products If you cancel the plan, special cartridges stop working: The cartridges provided under the plan will cease working at the end of your billing period if you opt out. Youโll need to switch to standard cartridges afterward. HP ๐ฏ My personal verdict As someone who prints lists, letters, recipes, charts, workshop materials, and moreโI breathe easier with Instant Ink in place. With the DeskJet 3755 plus the Instant Ink program, I donโt worry โDo I have enough ink?โ or โCan I afford color this month?โ Itโs one less thing I have to mentally manage. If youโve ever been caught mid-print only to realize your cartridge is empty, this program is a major upgrade. Combine that with the compact printer and youโve got a home printing setup thatโs simple, smart, and stress-free. If you want, I can craft a short โInstant Ink focusโ version of the review (for quick shoppers) and highlight which plan I picked and why!

a shinier, sleeker pile of garbage
The nicest thing I can say about this is that it is a more compact piece of [junk]. This is the thing with new devices, right? They look so much sleeker and sexier and more futuristic than "outdated" technology. My old MFD was an ugly, hulking monstrosity. However, all I had to do to use it was plug it into a power source and plug it into my computer and off we go on our merry way. It. Worked. This takes up possibly less than a quarter of the desk space and looks much nicer. You want to connect to it? Use the wireless direct network. Once you're connected, it will launch an app offering you a variety of services you never wanted, because all you want is to print a [redacted] checklist for an upcoming trip. You want to print, you have to connect to the internet. You connect to the internet, you are disconnected from your printer. Go ahead, try using the virtual assistant. Half an hour later, you will still be staring at the "One moment while I get read to chat" message. What is it exactly that a chatbot has to prepare for remains a mystery. It's okay, though, because you can also connect with your cell phone! All you have to do is download another app. Create another account. Give HP that sweet, sweet lucrative personal data. Get pressured yet. again. to sign up for their ink subscription service. Jesus, I miss my old monstrosity. Ugly, simple, and functional. Like that one type of person each of us has dated at some point, the HP DeskJet 3755 Compact All-in-One Wireless Printer is an attractive, useless disaster. It exists to make the things in your life that once were simple into an unending nightmare, while simultaneously trying to maximize the value it can leech out of you. I have not yet succeeded in printing a single thing. It's like the sleeker companies make the product design, the more of a nightmare the UX is. Edit: Finally ordered a cable--separately (remember when printers actually came with the cables you need to connect them to a computer?). Got the printer to work. Print quality is low and you can print maybe fifteen pages on each fresh toner cartridges. Apparently, HP's zeal for manipulating you into their ink subscription service is so avid that they're more than happy to maximize the amount of hazardous waste generated by an endless series of ridiculously undersized toner cartridges. WHAT IS THIS, A TONER CARTRIDGE FOR ANTS?

Great little printer.....cute too!
Just received this printer today and it was easy to set up on my phone......but I did have trouble setting it up to my new computer. I called technical support (googled their number as it wasn't on the instructions) and the technician was super!!! It took about an hour, but she got the printer set up wirelessly and it works just fine. I haven't seen a recent review and some of the old ones were quite negative. I almost didn't buy this, but glad I did. The print quality is very, very nice, and this printer isn't that loud! I don't know what people were saying that it was really loud....it's not. Just like a printer should sound. It spits out the copies very fast too. I'm happy it came with a set of full size cartridges, as most just had start up ones. It's compact and quite attractive. I don't use my printer a lot, but need it to print out recipes and various Word documents I create. I would say if you want a decent printer that has all the typical features for moderate printing use, don't hesitate. And.....if you have any trouble connecting, just call technical support and they are sharp, patient and knowledgeable. They will get you going quickly. I give this printer and technical support 10 stars!!!!

Perfect little printer
This is our third deskjet all in one. We have one for our home office, one for our second home and one for work. By far our favorite. We have had our first one for five years. These are so darn cute. Not the fastest or high quality but itโs darn close. Love the Alexa feature, print from phone and space saver. Does not require you to subscribe to expensive monthly service like the new printers. Please start making these models again. I had to search everywhere to find this one.

Would not work out of the box - carriage locked
This printer comes with VERY FEW printed instruction sheets, which one would assume means it is simple to setup. Unbox, plug in, insert ink cartridges, connect via USB, WiFi direct or add to your WiFi network and voila! Except when I plugged it in and opened the front panel to install the ink cartridges, I could hear/see the cartridge carrier shake and vibrate but it would not move to the open area to allow installation. I looked inside for one of those large red/orange tabs that sometimes secures movable components, but none were visible. I checked the instructions AGAIN - nothing. I viewed the setup/get started videos on the HP website, no mention of anything to remove. Error code 3E on the panel which means 'carriage malfunction' (no surprise). Instructions on how to clear the error were about removing paper jams. Have yet to print anything, so no paper has been through it. After 30 minutes of back and forth I am ready to box it up and return it and as I turn it over, I hear a 'rattle'....hmmm. I shake a bit, more rattle. I look inside and shake and waaay in the back, I see a small white plastic piece. I cannot reach it with my hand, so I continue to turn and shake until this piece falls out (see picture). Plug it back in and the carriage centers as it should and I can proceed with installation. While the installable HP printer app is well designed and easy to use, and there are numerous pages of instructions you can print by pressing buttons on the printer, HP should include just a little more information - especially about the carriage lock AND use one that is a more visible color. Another potential problem is if you sign up for 'Instant Ink' - the ink delivery service. This service requires connectivity from the printer to HP using a webservice. Unfortunately, this feature was disabled by default (at least on this printer). When I tried to register I kept getting a rather innocuous error. After a bit of frustration and way too much time, I found reference to how to enable it, but using a browser to connect to the printer directly. Cool - except I was prompted for a password, which wasn't provided anywhere. None of the 'usual defaults' worked, nothing listed on the HP site/web search worked but I found mention of how to reset it to not need a password, which I did. This also reset the WiFi settings on the printer - phhht. Fortunately, the HP software made setting that up, AGAIN straight forward, but I mean - COME ON! All total, I spent approx 2hrs of frustration getting this tiny box setup when it should have been <30 minutes. As a result of these experiences, I rated this printer 1 for tech support due to setup issues and 3 overall. For those not familiar with WiFi Direct, be aware that when you are connected to the printer you are NOT connected to your internet connection. I've had more than a few friends get frustrated by that. I recommend you avoid it unless you have used it before. It's benefits in your average home environment is, IMO- limited.

Installed without computer, no problems at all!
I just unboxed my new printer. It came with a power cord, shrink wrapped printer, and a installation booklet and 2 starter cartridges. Iโm very pleased with my purchase. I was able to set it up completely from my iPhone. I have an older iPhone 7 plus and downloaded the app using the QR Code on the box, followed the prompts and set it up and printed two test pages (of my choice, not wasted printing). Both pages came out great and Iโm excited to started using this with my Cricut Explore Air 2 so I can enjoy the print then cut feature. For less than $100, it will serve my purpose well and I will get signed up for the free trial of instant ink from HP that came with the printer. Due to limited space, I love how compact this guy is. The size of this printer very closely resembles the size of my Cricut. Also, I received this with incredibly fast shipping. It was shipped from California to Nebraska in only 2 days (which is remarkable since Covid had delayed all Prime shipping) and will be a wonderful addition to my craft area. I did not have any issues with the default settings on how much noise this machine does or does not make. However, I may choose to lower the print quality when using to print large files like sewing patterns or summer school worksheets for my kids. Very excited!

Clear, Colourful, and Compact Printing
I use my printer in my home for personal use. The printing is very clear and the colour is very vibrant and great to look at. The printer is also very compact and fits in the space I have for it very nicely. The delivery time of my new printer was excellent from Amazon. I believe now that I have my printer working, I will be very happy with this product. Also, Amazon Canada accepted my Debit Visa as payment which again the HP Website Canada would not, therefore I was not able to get in on the HP Canada Day Sale. Thank you Amazon! I really appreciate the support Amazon Canada has given me in setting up my printer! HP Instant Ink Canada was helpful, but HP Support was not helpful at all.

This item is a waste of time and money.
I spent a whole day trying to make this work. It would not connect to wifi. I checked many website, I watched many videos. I tried to use the phone app to connect the printer to the wifi but my phone wouldn't detect the printer, when I looked it up I was told I had to change my wifi from 5G to 2.4G for it to work which is impossible to do if you have a newer phone. I tried using my laptop- PC AND Mac and it still didn't work, it kept saying if I didn't have a touchscreen printer I had to use the USB to connect even though this printer was advertised as being able to connect to wifi wirelessly. Not to mention they didn't even GIVE me a USB. The customer support was useless and impossible to get a hold of. Worst item I've gotten from Amazon and I'm returning it. Wasted my time, my ink, my paper and my money.

Wifi Password
Whew!!! What a relief when I finally got it working. Iโm not a technical guru in any way, shape or form. After searching the web and YouTube for hours, I discovered the password for the wifi setup. Itโs 12345678. Hopefully this will save someone else the grief of trying to set up their wireless device. The printer was destined for the recycle pile but Iโll hang on to it now. Glenn

Great buy!!!
I purchased this printer/copier/scanner this week for my personal home use and I absolutely loooooove it! Although I am not a tech savvy girl, I was able to set it up on my laptop with my WiFi in just minutes. I just followed the instructions on the web site and it was as easy as 1-2-3. I've tried all 3 features since and they work perfectly. I also love the Insta Ink feature which allows me not to worry about running out of ink and having to go purchase it myself. I would definitely recommend this great little printer. It looks great too! :)
