Amazing addition to any coffee connoisseur's collection. A quality piece of sturdy construction with great design! Much more impressive than my Bodum. The handle, plunge knob, and base are made of metal unlike the plastic used on my older Bodum french press. You also get a really handy measuring spoon that doubles as a clip for the coffee bag. This was a pleasant surprise which replaced the black plastic coffee measuring spoon that I previously used. I would definitely recommend this as a gift as well. The packaging and product quality won't let you or your gift recipient down!

This is a very attractive French press, but there were 3 things about it that I didn't like. The first thing is the metal piece that attaches the handle to the pot, on both the top and bottom of the handle. I cut my finger on the top piece of metal because it is so sharp. It is as sharp as the blade of a knife! The 2nd problem that I had with this press is that it leaked all over my counter every time I poured coffee from it. The 3rd problem that I had with it is that there is a lot of plastic underneath the lid, that comes into contact with the hot liquid during the pouring process. I don't like plastic coming into contact with very hot coffee. I returned this French press and found one that better meets my needs.

Works great. Simple design without a bunch of extra frills to drive up the price for no reason and a really good wire mesh that is really fine to separate the solids from my tea.

Makes great coffee. However, the metal frame which is supposed to hold the glass beaker--and facilitate pouring-- does not do its job. It bends when hot and under the load of a full beaker of coffee and doesn't properly secure the hot and fragile load. I end up having to remove the beaker completely and pour the coffee using two hot pads! In order to not spill coffee everywhere, you must pour extremely slowly as the lid does not fit snugly and the opening is quite small. Would not buy again.

I bought this item because it said origin U.S.A. when i received it the box says made in china. Not very happy so far. After further use the metal is very flimsy. Do not recommend this product.

I purchased this as a gift for a client. I was looking for a fair priced french press for a coffee enthusiast. I've used Target and Ikea brands coffee press in the past as client gifts but felt the brands seemed like a cheap gift. The packaging was sophisticated with instructions, quality of the product and sturdiness of the handle and strength of the glass was impressionable. The "coffee scoop" itself was made of durable materials and the "clip" is a handy feature to close your coffee grinds and keep fresh. Great product for the price. Made a fantastic client gift. Will be repurchasing for future clients and friends.

the metal to the handle bends when it's too hot and tries to warp. Using per directions. The only thing I've found wrong with any bar brat products, I usually don't have issues. With i could say the same for this.

My first French Press and I'm hooked. I like the glass, seeing the froth is great. Keeps the coffee pretty warm for maybe a half hour or so. The measuring spoon is a nice addition which I use. Makes delicious coffee with no grounds. My cons are that the bottom part of the handle that connects to the glass is loose, so much so that it feels like the carafe could slip out. Not sure if that is the design, but it makes me have to use two hands while pouring the coffee. The lid fits loosely, but it's not a real concern. I have experienced "dribble" as others have stated, but it might be operator error and the filter was not aligned correctly.
