Pure Organic Sea Buckthorn Oil

I've been using this brand of seabuckthorn oil for a few years now. As others have noted the smell is not great and it is orange. However, I think that's just indicative of how pure the oil is. Seabuckthorn has the highest levels of vitamin C, more than rosehip oil. I find with consistent use it gently fades dark spots, brightens skin, evens tone, and overall nourishes the skin.

The rubber lid started melting into the jar after some months. It also started to smell off, but before any of that happened it went on well and made my skin soft. However, it does stain so beware. Knocked off two stars due to lid design/issues and the off smell after awhile, otherwise would be a 4 or 5 star for product.

I use this in place of acne creams and moisturizer and my skin at night and I have been less oily through out the day and it helps clear any spots faster than acne creams. I do think it may cause me black heads around my nose but I clear that up with clay masks. It does come out very orange and will make your skin look yellow where you apply but it will go away when the oil is absorbed. I have not had any problems with staining my white sheets.

This oil is very light and moisturizing and sinks into your skin after a few minutes. As others have commented, it is yellow and can stain fabric. At first, I used it at night and my white pillow cases were yellow in the morning, but it did wash out in the laundry. I have blended it with another moisturizer and wore it under make-up when I had more of a tan, but now that my skin is turning paler it will be more difficult to blend. It has a salty, ocean-like scent, reminiscent of seaweed, which I like, but others may not. I actually purchased it to blend with some of my fragrance oils to create a beachy scent. I haven't used it as a moisturizer consistently enough to see long term effects, but I do really like how it feels on my skin.

This is the best natural product I have ever used! Very well worth the price. I mix 2-3 drops with moisturizer or oil at bedtime and apply it to my face, neck, and hands. I have been asked by many why I look younger than in the past. I often recommend sea buckthorn oil - especially after receiving complements about my complexion. My friend told me it is the BEST beauty product I have ever recommended. Don't listen to the complainers about staining, because it washes off and out of any clothes or pillow cases. Of course it is dark - it's pure berry juice! The same thing would occur with any other berry. I have seen products at Sephora that contain sea buckthorn oil added (diluted with other ingredients), but none for less than $50.00! I recommend that everyone use this for better looking, healthier skin.

Did not work as well as the Sibu brand. Yellow goes away but does not look good for your lover! Looked like an Oompa Loompa. I wear the oil in the am too, so I could not with this product. My skin did not like this either. I got dry patches and skin started to break out again. I'm sticking with my Sibu brand. Works miracles!

Update!!! Lowering the stars from my original 4 to 2. The rubber bulb attached to the dropper disintegrated into gooooey melted rubber ick.....the 1/2 used bottle is ruined! I love this product, but how can the packaging be so incompatible? I am so disappointed. I am in my 40's and my skin is changing a lot, not for the better! I have acne and fine wrinkles, with some large pores too :-(. I purchased this knowing that it stains, hoping that the positive benefits would outweigh the negative of the staining. The oil does work surprisingly well, treating the acne and the wrinkles. I didn't notice much benefit for the pores, but 2 out of 3 isn't shabby! The drawback to this oil is most definitely the staining. It makes your face bright orange! My kids think it is hilarious! I put it on before bedtime and feel like an oompa loompa! If you can leave it on, it does soak in by morning, with no color or residue left. My sheets however......oh my, they are a mess! Even with old pillowcases, it ended up on my beautiful expensive white sheets.......my mistake, I know, but definitely something to consider. Bottom line, it is messy, but it does seem to help a lot! I guess it comes down to desperation.......I'm desperate enough to make a mess, to put my best face forward! It clears up acne, smooth's fine lines and my overall complexion is healthier.

When I put 3 drops on my face My jaw dropped when I saw how orange and umpa-loopey I looked! Discouraged I went did some things around the house for 10 minutes before washing it off. When I came backed and looked in the mirror I could not believe how well it soaked in and left an amazing glow to my face! It was the reason I no longer use makeup in the summer. Received so many compliments on my glowing skin. One weekend I made my whole family try a few drops on their skin and it worked great with their complexions and were also glowing. Nice knowing it adds a glow while also improving the integrity of the skin. If using on your face other then a night cream it helps to reduce redness and works great for someone who is medium or tan. I don’t think it would work great on very pale skin. Always can adjust the amount of drops with a carrier oil to reduce the glowing/orange color. Be patient and let it sit at least 10-15 minutes before dismissing it and thinking your an umpa-loopa!

Genuinely amazing product! It improves skin tone, evens it out, and improves the skin texture, leaving it plump and thoroughly nourished. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

This is a good oil, very hydrating, it feels good on my skin, however I have to say that the colour is very intense once you apply it on the skin and you will end up looking like a carrot due to the orange colour, so if you use it at night you have to make sure you put a towel on your pillow, also the smell is very strong but it disappears after a few minutes, which his why I only use it during the day and then I remove it. For the price I think its a good oil and it doesn't irritate my skin. Este es un buen aceite, muy hidratante, se siente bien en la piel, sin embargo tengo que decir que el color es muy intenso una vez que lo aplicas que terminarás pareciendo una zanahoria por el color naranjoso que tiene, así que si lo usas por la noche tienes que asegurarte de poner una toalla sobre tu almohada, además el olor es muy fuerte pero desaparece a los pocos minutos, por eso solo lo uso solo durante el día y luego me lo quito. Por el precio, creo que es un buen aceite y no irrita mi piel.

This oil turns your skin florescent orange and later yellow. If using it topically, only use on area that can be covered. This will stain cloth as well.
