Beautiful product. Fantastic customer service.
I ordered the singing bowl in bronze. It arrived in two days. The bowl itself was beautiful. The small silk pad was fine and the striker just as described. However, there was a small flaw in the bowl which affected the sound quality and the ability to make it " sing ". I contacted customer service and explained my issue. Jamie, who answered my email within the hour , understood my problem, apologized for the inconvenience and promised to send out a replacement that day. It arrived less than 72 hours later, on a Sunday. My replacement bowl is perfect. It has a beautiful tone, beautiful finish, and I know will provide many hours of relaxation. A great product and uncommonly courteous customer service ! I would not hesitate for one second to do business with this company.

Beautiful look and sound
This beautiful Tibetan singing bowl is a standout piece. Its compact size is perfect for walking or sitting meditation, whether I’m striking it or singing it by sliding the striker around the rim. Both techniques produce a rich, resonant tone rather than a cheap, tinny sound. It also makes for a wonderful centerpiece on my dining table; guests are often drawn to it and delight in discovering the beautiful sounds it creates. Note: The bowl I received differs from the online photo (mine is a deeper blue/different pattern), but I actually prefer it. A very happy surprise!

As lovely to listen to as it is to look at.
My husband has always wanted a singing bowl so I decided to get him this as an early Father's day present. Not only did it arrive quickly but it is stunning in person. The sound is crisp and clear (it easily drowns out the ac units and birds chirping outside) and I find my husband happily using it almost every day. The bowl itself is well made and feels like it was made with metal. The small cushion it came with is firm and flat as well as a really nice design. The wooden piece is also really well made and you can tell that someone spent a lot of time making it. The black end stops the sound immediately. I'm am very grateful to have been able to make my husband smile with this.

It is beautiful
I love my Singing Bowl Set! I am sorry I waited this long to have one. The sound is rich, calming, and resonates beautifully—perfect for creating a peaceful atmosphere in the sewing room. Seems to quieten the birds in the house along with the dogs.

Ding Dong
I fretted for days over which singing bowl to buy from Amazon as the consensus is that most are cheaply made and mass-produced in a 3rd-world country. In YT review videos, Silent Mind came up as a somewhat "higher quality" version of these small metal singing bowls. I'm glad I went with Silent Mind as they are indeed a step above the others, just keep in mind that it's probably still somewhat mass-produced. An included card stated that they were handcrafted in Tibet, but I make no presumptions that they're made in a remote village high up in the Himalayans by generationally-skilled craftsman, and you shouldn't either. If they're actually made in Tibet as the card says, they're probably made in a factory in a large city. Regardless these bowls are still nice and sound great! The bowl is heavy for its size, the ringer is solid wood with a thin leather-like cover on one end. My ringer had an indent in the wood from being pressed against the edge of the bowl during shipping, but it still works fine. The pillow is decorative and functional, although don't expect the fabric's pattern to be centered, mine wasn't. The incriptions on and in the bowl are exotic-looking, I just hope they don't translate to "ding-dong rings the tiny bowl of this western ding dong"–I'll pretend the inscriptions speak of peace & mindfulness through love & harmony & yadda, yadda yadda.... As for using the bowl's sound, I was able to make it sing immediately on my first try. Just take your time with slow strokes around the rim after first hitting the edge to make it vibrate (ring). The Silent Mind website has a few instructional videos if you can't figure it out (the website link is on an included card). I can literally make this little bowl sing extremely loud, to the extent that it mimics the weekly testing of my neighborhood's tornado warning siren. It's amazing how much sound can come from this little bowl! I'm very satisfied with this bowl, it works well, is well-made and was still somewhat inexpensive. I should note though, if you're sending this as a gift to someone, it did not come in its own box–it was simply tightly wrapped in bubble wrap and tape. Just keep this in mind if you're gifting one during the holidays. Enjoy your bowl, you western ding dong!

Sound is great, but inconsistent?
Bought one of these for myself two or three years ago and LOVE everything about it. Thought to buy another for my classroom and even though I recognize that anything hand hammered will sound a little differently - the two are pretty far off in tonality and how well/long they sustain that tone. I'm no musician, but I can definitely hear a big deviation. I like the second one and I do use it, (my students enjoy it a lot, too) but the sound compared to the first is appreciably different. It's a lot higher, tinnier and harder to keep going with that lovely resonance and I get from the first. That said, I do recommend them - you just wouldn't know if you didn't buy more than one. Cheers!

The quality of the bowl is outstanding. The intensity of sound is a bit too soft though. No, I don't hold the bowl, it's just resting on the cushion provided and the cushion rest on my palm. Probably due to the small size of the bowl. I love it anyway.
