Wilton Carded Tip Cake Icer

This Wilton cake icer works perfectly. It fit inside of a large piping bag, and performed flawlessly. You can use either side and have a textured frosting or a smooth frosting. It was very easy to set up and use, even for someone who bakes often, but is by no means a professional. In addition, it was very easy to clean; it is large enough that cleaning it out is not an issue (or as difficult as cleaning some of the smaller ones can be). I own several baking tips from Wilton, all of which have lasted for 8+ years without any changing of shape, rust, damage, etc., so I am confident that this tip will last just as long. This tip is most convenient as it helps you not over ice a cake and goes much faster (and looks much prettier) than icing a cake with a knife or spatula. I used this along with an icing smoother to help the cake maintain a smooth texture, and to remove any excess frosting. I was using a very thin whipped cream, so a lot of icing was pushing out at once, so I would definitely recommend an icing smoother as well if you needed to limit the icing on the cake.

If you pair this Tip with a 18" or 24" pastry/decorating bag, you can frost/ice a cake in no time. One side is smooth, and the other has teeth to give a textured look. Great product, that is my "tip" for the day.

If you are making more than just the annual cake, do yourself a favor and get this. I thought it was silly at first...I mean, how hard is it to dump some frosting on a cake and spread it out? But I bought it for my cake class and it really does make it so much quicker and easier! For the minimal cost it is a great time saver. Makes icing a pull apart cake much much simpler. Definitely get a 16 inch icing bag too though, otherwise you have to refill it three times to ice one cake.

With a silver color, this cake icer tip was incredibly useful in the decorating process. It’s very big, but was exactly what I was looking for to help finish a cake off.

This cake icer did not immediately increase my baking skills as originally hoped, nor did it operate as an effective cheese grater. I would have gotten rid of it, except its mouth looks like that of a sharp-toothed monster, sighing with indifference. We have since become friends.

I love this tip to frost my cakes. It just makes it so much easier and faster. It is very easy to clean. It was a great purchase specially since I am just starting to bake.

This is great! Thanks Wilton. I didn't know such a thing existed, maybe I'm a little slow to pick up on new things. Haha! This extra large frosting tip has helped cut my cake decorating time in half. No more crumb coating with a spatula, sometimes no crumb coating at all. This tip combined with the large pastry bag & turntable makes icing a cake a snap! Just takes a few passes with this cake iced tip, soon smoothing & that's it. I depend on reviews to help me decide if a product is something I should buy or something I need to pass on. That's why I write reviews & wish everyone would. Bottom line- this is a great time saver, wish I'd had it a long time ago!

La sortie de la douille fait 4,5 cm et peut soit sortir un glaçage uni soit cannelé. C'est parfait pour étaler la crème rapidement sur le gâteau. Il faut juste prévoir des poches à douille jetables ou y dédier une poche à douille spécifique vu qu'il faudra couper un embout assez grand pour qu'elle passe. Très contente de mon achat. Par contre prenez vous y à l'avance car le délai de livraison est assez long.
