Is the preacher curl mat removable?

Yes, the attachment with the side pads is removable.

How stable is this bench when used on a carpeted floor? Most pics I've seen are on wood or other hard surface, but mine would be on a berber carpet.

A carpet does lessen the stability of the bench. We recommend only using it on a hard surface.

Is this the same height as the previous model? I have a 28” inseam and need a low height for the hyper extension. Will this accommodate 4’11”

It might be a little too big for you. It is best for people 5'0" and up.
