Finer Form Multi-Functional Adjustable FID Weight Bench and Roman Chair

Assembly - The instructions are as good as any instructions I've seen. It has clear pictures with each part clearly labeled, AND it has written instructions, AND the English in the instructions is correct. - The parts are thoughtfully packed. Parts needed earlier in the assembly are on top, and you work down the box. Everything stayed neatly in the box until needed. - Everything fit together without any issues, mis-sized or misaligned holes, etc. - They shipped an extra each of two smaller washers, but only shipped 14 of the larger instead of the 15 indicated in the packaging, and called for by the instructions. This is a pretty common problem a lot of companies seem to have.. Luckily it wasn't one of the curved washers that can't be easily replaced from the stash in the garage workbench. Use - So far, no issues in a first workout. The unit seems solid and stable. It does not feel like it is going to tip, does not wobble, etc., with everything from seated presses, various inclined presses, declined sit-ups, bent-over single-arm rows, and hyperextension/back-ups. - Incline/decline, pad height, etc. adjustments are quick and easy. - The padding is comfortable enough. It definitely doesn't feel like a professional gym machine, and I'd expect it to wear out much faster, but that's to be expected for the price. - Various product images show dumbbells on the two lower rods. Nothing in the instructions indicates to do this for added stability/safety, or just convenient storage, but the unit seems stable enough without any added weight. - I would prefer that the head/back came up another 1" or so. It is just a tad short when fully vertical. I am 6'1". 6'5" guys might want a bigger bench if head support for vertical presses is an important feature. - Similarly, the preacher pads are a tad narrow for me - would prefer they were a couple inches further apart. They are too narrow for preacher curls using a bar, for instance. Minor issue for me since I use 100% dumbbells and one arm at a time will work fine for me. A minor nit, but one that could be easily engineered away. The placement of the pads is adjustable - they just need to lengthen the support bar a bit and put two holes instead of one. - On the other hand, the unit is reasonably compact. The floor footprint from foot-foot is exactly 5'.

I bought this bench because I needed something sturdy and compact for my home workouts, and it’s turned out to be a great addition. I actually had a small hiccup with one of the parts right before setting it up, but reaching out to customer service was simple and they handled it quickly. They sent a replacement and I had it within four days—which is honestly faster than I expected. If you need a reliable, versatile bench for your home workouts, I definitely recommend this one. It’s held up strong and hasn’t given me any trouble, and the company seems to really care about their customers.

5’3” 200lb man. Did my research and chose this bench for low price, its versatility, back extension and sit up capability. Have only done one work out and it does the job. PROS: for as simple as it is, the frame is solid, study, bit of a wobble during flys but not too bad- ai might need to tighten bolts. One mid bolt didnt want to go in all the way, may need a drill to get it in all the way- bit of tight fit it seems. Fast transition between workouts. Light weight. Back extensions are good enough, I was worried the bench was going to hit my face on the way down, which was not the case… face comes close to it when bench is down enough to get good sets in, I would use bumbells on each hand for added weight vs plates on the chest. Decent padding. CONS: damaged during shipping- broken plastic cap, scratches, punctured. open parts package, missing parts. Too many moving parts during shipping. Bit wobbly during flys. I was just missing a washer which I bought at a local hardware store. One plastic cap was popped out and broken, will contact vendor to replace. Seems they add or remove parts to the parts package for this model needed or not needed for assembly. Even the manual says to contact them if there is anything missing. Suggest marking parts number on parts package- not sure why instructions use part number but parts package isn’t marked. Cheap thin pleather- if it ever rips I would upholster it with good quality thick leather. Other than that no complaints. Would suggest: extending the curl pads by an inch, I have a wide frame, arms on the edge during curls. An inch wider for the bench board/seat seems a bit narrow during sit ups. Overall decent bench for now, gets the job done, just don’t know how long the pleather will last. It may be a roll of dice of parts when you get it, but once you have all you need its not bad.

Great bench so far and the Roman chair extension is very useful. Im 5’9 and fit fine with length to spare on the back. The bench is sturdy and it looks good. No problems with durability yet, but I’ve only used it a few weeks so I’ll report back if anything happens. Seat and back are easy to adjust with multiple positions. The Roman chair extension is easy to put in or remove. Bench is a good weight, heavy enough that it’s stable but still light enough to move it easily. I’ve used it for many types of exercises including lifting weights 200-250lbs as well as box jumps and step ups; works well for everything so far. Assembly was easy and instructions were clear, just took a few extra minutes due to the support bars and attachment pieces. One thing to note is that it’s about a half inch lower to the ground than my last bench. That’s not a good or bad thing, just something to keep in mind if you have a cage with regular settings for J hooks, you may need to adjust them. The total length of the base of the bench is also a little longer than a standard bench because of the Roman chair attachment. Again, it’s not good or bad, just worth checking the length to make sure it fits where you want it.

To start, it arrived well-packed with organized hardware and instructions. It is not difficult to assemble, but kudos to anyone who says they put this together in 30 minutes. With two people, maybe. With one person alone, probably more like 60-90 minutes (still not bad). It comes with an Allen key and wrenches, but do yourself a favor and keep any ratchet tools you have handy. I have been using this now for regular workout for a couple weeks. It is a well-built bench, especially in this price range. I am a big person and in those two weeks I have yet to experience any lack of stability. The cushioning is comfortable I like the versatility of incline positions, foot pad positions, and preacher pad positions, and also like the handles by the preacher pad. I was originally looking at one of those collapsible benches, but I liked the idea of the preacher pad with bench incline, and some of the exercises this bench affords. This is NOT a portable bench that you can stowaway in the closet when you are done. It can be repositioned relatively easily as one side has wheels and the opposite side has a handle. But this is not one of those benches that collapses into something you can put under a bed. I like the chart that is included providing illustrations of how the bench can be utilized. The more of these exercises you can build into your workout the better bargain this bench becomes. A few things that I think would make this bench even better and probably not add too much to the cost: (1) include anchors for resistance bands - presently I use some extra velcro ankle straps with D-hooks around the legs of the bench. (2) the preacher pad is adjustable vertically, but not horizontally. If this could be adjustable width-wise it would be much better. (3) make the head rest adjustable. I am 5'11" and I have no problem, but it would be nice to have that extra versatility. All in all, I am happy with the purchase and recommend this bench.

Let’s start with the pros: This bench can be used for many exercises because of the attachments and adjustability of the back. The cushions are thick enough that there’s no metal digging into your skin when you work out (unlike cheaper options) This is one of the few benches at this price range that can do incline all the way to decline Easy to assemble with the provided manual, it took me about a half hour. Light enough when assembled that I can lift it with ease Sturdy. I have not felt unstable while using this bench. Cons: There is only one setting for decline. If you do a lot of decline work or are looking for a steep decline, this may not work for you No matter how much you tighten the bolts, the back piece is a little wobbly (just enough that it’s noticeable, it’s not enough to unbalance you) The foot placement piece on the bench is very smooth and slippery (but this can be fixed with some grip tape or just wearing good shoes) Overall: I enjoy having this bench greatly, it has been a great improvement to my home gym setup. All of the cons I have listed weren’t big enough issues for this to not be a product I recommend. I’m not sure of the durability of the PU leather over time, but for now it is performing good with everyday use.

Works great, sturdy, easy to assemble. Now I just have to use it

This is a great workout bench and the support team is even better. First, when the package arrives, be very careful where you cut into the box, because if you cut down the center with a long blade, you might hit the back pad. I read that on an earlier post and was careful. Once the box is open it is easy to take inventory of all the parts. The hardware (nuts, bolts, etc.) is encased in plastic and labeled, making it super easy to account for all the parts and to put the bench together. All the required tools are included, although I preferred to use my own socket wrenches (metric). The instructions are easy to follow. I actually had fun building it. Once built, the bench is solid and has a lot of settings to allow you to do a complete workout of most muscle groups Being a Flat, Incline and Decline (FID) bench, it allows you to work different parts of each muscle group (e.g. upper and lower pecs) It is also great for doing setups, hyper extensions and Roman Chair workouts. The package also includes a nice chart that you can hang on the wall. It shows many of the various workouts you can do with this bench. Now for their support: First, the online documentation is great. They have charts of workouts using this bench as well as charts for general workouts with dumbbells without the bench. They also have an online booklet showing exercises for each muscle group. After building the bench, my wife saw a wrinkle on the back pad and she was worried that it might wear through the covering over time. I sent a comment with a picture of the wrinkle to the company website. At 2:30 AM Pacific time the following morning (the company and I are both in California), they had already printed a USPS shipping label for a replacement back pad. They followed up with emails. I had a great email exchange with Isabel. I give their support team a ten out of five rating.

Update 22.2.25 Der Hersteller hat mich kontaktiert und Ersatz geschickt. Diesmal lagen die Pads super drin (Bild). So sollten sie nie wieder einen Riss beim Verschicken bekommen. Auch das richtige Fussteil mit den richtigen Löchern war drin (Bild). Die Bank hat keine Mängel. So kann ich sie auch guten Gewissens empfehlen. Nach knapp 4 Monaten finde ich die Bank super. Auch mein Mann, der über 100kg wiegt, findet sie gut. Nichts wackelt und der Stand ist stabil. Ursprünglich Rezension: Es war schon in anderen Rezensionen zu lesen, dass die Pads beschädigt sein könnten (Bild). Ja, das war auch bei mir so, aber der Riss ist nur 5mm groß. Damit kann ich leben. Habe es mit Sekundenkleber und Backpulver versiegelt. Dann habe ich alles ausgepackt und angefangen es aufzubauen. Fehler Nummer 2 zeigte sich auch schnell. Die Löcher des zweiten Fußes passen nicht (Bild). Bohrmaschine und 8ter Bohrer waren der Anfang und ein Dremel machte den Rest und die Schlossschrauben passten. Weiter ging es. Alles zusammengebaut, zeigte es noch eine eingedrückte Stelle auf der Bank (Bild) und irgendwas war an der Seite der Bank (Bild) rangekommen. Entweder etwas heißes oder es hat chemisch reagiert. Einzelne Teile bekommt man nicht getauscht, man kann nur alles zurückschicken. Das wollte ich aber nicht. Fazit: an sich ist es eine super Bank für einen guten Preis und ich habe die 2 Mängel eingeplant. Schade, dass die zwei weiteren Mängel mit dazukamen. Daher nur 3 Sterne. Ein Nicht-Montags-Modell hätte von mir 5 Sterne bekommen.

I’ve tried many great benches before and for home use this tops them all. Sure it’s not the highest quality or the most plush foam but considering the features and the build quality at such a great price? You can’t find this anywhere else, I’m going to keep this for a long time. If you’re trying to find a bench that suits many needs, this is the one.

In short? Excellent. I don't have much space so was looking for something versatile, well built and reasonably compact. Back hyper extensions were my primary goal, but for a little extra money and space it was sensible to go for something which offered more. Mission accomplished. This is a solidly built piece of equipment, excellent value for the price (especially if it's on special). Assembly was easy and extremely well explained with all the large parts well identified and all the small parts individually labeled and separated in a blister pack. All parts present, everything in perfect shape. Putting it together was actually fun. Ikea could learn from these folks. I will also commend their customer service. I had a quibble (unrelated to the function or quality of the product) and they were extraordinarily helpful. So you not only get a quality, well designed piece of equipment you also know it has solid backup from the vendor. Impressive. Obviously, for the money, you aren't getting 'gym grade' (you'd have to take out a loan and reinforce your floor for that), but for a home gym you can't go wrong with this choice. J'ai longtemps cherché un banc multifonction de qualité. Il y a de nombreuses références, mais en regardant de plus près, beaucoup ne semblent pas très fiables. J'ai hésité avant de choisir ce modèle, notamment à cause de quelques critiques, certes peu nombreuses, mais qui peuvent faire douter. Finalement, je pense qu'elles ne sont pas justifiées pour plusieurs raisons. Tout d'abord, ce modèle, disponible depuis plusieurs années, a probablement été amélioré au fil du temps, ce qui rend certaines critiques obsolètes. La plus importante concernait le risque que le banc s'affaisse tout seul. Or, sur le modèle que j'ai reçu, il y a une patte de protection supplémentaire qui ne figure d'ailleurs pas sur les photos du site. Franchement, je n'ai rencontré aucun problème de stabilité et je suis en confiance. Quant aux vis ou pièces manquantes mentionnées par d'autres, je n'ai eu aucun souci. Il est possible que certaines personnes aient fait des erreurs lors du montage, qui est certes facile, mais peut prendre un peu de temps. Cependant, si vous savez monter un meuble Ikea, cela ne devrait poser aucun problème. J'aurais préféré un banc plus lourd, d'environ 20 kg de plus, pour garantir une plus grande stabilité, mais finalement, il est très stable. Cela dit, je ne l'utilise pas pour des exercices de levage intensif, mais principalement pour du gainage. Pour finir, je cherchais un banc compatible avec ma taille, soit 1,82 m, et celui-ci répond parfaitement à cette exigence (ce qui n'est pas le cas pour de très nombreuses références que l'on trouve sur le site).
