Couldn't use it, waste of money
There is no anticolic vent as described in the description. We need to put a hole or something, i dont know how much it is practical. If we make just a hole.

I can't express enough how Dr. Brown's Original Nipple, Level 4 (9m+), 2 Count has been a game-changer in our household. As a parent of a lively 9-month-old, I was on the hunt for a nipple that could keep up with my growing baby's feeding needs, and I am thrilled to say that Dr. Brown's Level 4 nipples have exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, these nipples are incredibly durable. With a teething baby who loves to chew on everything, I was worried about wear and tear. However, these Level 4 nipples have proven to be tough and resilient. They show no signs of damage after months of use, making them a cost-effective choice for parents. The flow rate of these nipples is spot-on for older babies. It provides just the right amount of milk without overwhelming my little one. This has led to more comfortable and less fussy feeding sessions. Plus, the anti-colic design that Dr. Brown's is known for really works wonders. My baby has experienced significantly fewer episodes of gas and discomfort since we switched to these nipples. Cleaning is a breeze with these nipples. They are easy to disassemble and clean thoroughly, which is a huge plus for busy parents. I appreciate the thoughtful design that minimizes the risk of milk getting trapped in hard-to-reach places. Another feature I love is that these Level 4 nipples fit perfectly with our existing Dr. Brown's bottles, so there was no need to buy a whole new set of bottles when my baby graduated to faster flow nipples. In summary, Dr. Brown's Original Nipple, Level 4 (9m+), 2 Count has been a lifesaver for us. It's durable, easy to clean, and provides the perfect flow rate for older babies. Most importantly, it keeps my baby happy and comfortable during feeding time. I highly recommend these nipples to all parents of active and growing babies!

Preparing to bottle feed our little boy, I asked lactation consultants and moms about what nipples they had good experiences with, and Dr. Browns was a frequent winner. I ordered one pack of 2 to try out with our Evenflo bottles, and have since been back for 6 more packs for daily use! Here's why I think Dr. Brown's worked for my baby and so many others. Of course, babies have their own preferences which remain mysteries to us, and yours may have a different opinion! - while the nipple looks similar to the ones that came with our Evenflo 3 Pack Classic Glass Bottle, 4-Ounce , it is much thinner and more pliable, easier for a young baby to manipulate and open/close. - there are little raised flanges inside the nipple which it seems act as a gate - the baby pulls milk into the tip, and when the tongue presses these it isolates the tip, avoiding a full-nipple release of milk. - The size 1 flow rate is reasonably slow, and I expect to stick with it for quite a while. It takes about 10 minutes to feed a 3-ounce bottle. - The silicone has no flavor (unlike natural rubber nipples) - The shape must be similar enough to a breast. Our boy ate 2oz at once the first time we tried this nipple. He seemed to "get it". - Now that he is more experienced, our boy can speed or slow the flow by pushing back on the bottle or hand of the person feeding him. Here's why I like these: - they fit any narrow mouth bottle. We've used them with our glass bottles as well as the Ameda 4 Pack Breast Milk Storage Bottles, 4 Ounce that came with my pump and Evenflo 4 Pack Simplymilk Storage Bottles, 5 Ounce we got for day care (no glass allowed there). Other reviewers mentioned trimming a tube - that seems to be part of the whole Dr. Brown's "system" and we only use the nipples. No thought or manipulation required! - They are easy to clean: I used to put them in the dishwasher but they developed a film, so I hand wash them and put my pinkies inside to clean them well. - They are durable: they have not ripped or had any damage to the holes in 3 months. - They're affordable. At about $1 a nipple for something I anticipate using for a year, how can I complain?

Both my boys were born with cleft palates (cleft palate only, no cleft lip), so with the absence of the roof of the mouth there is no ability so suck or form a seal to breastfeed. So, we are left with bottle feeding pumped milk and eventually formula. These nipples are an absolute godsend. A standard level 1 nipple, which a non-cleft baby would use, needs a suck in order to get anything out of it - if you turn it over, nothing really drips out. Cleft babies can't suck, so this isn't an option. A fast-flow nipple that just pours out is no good, because when the baby wants to stop and take a break while feeding, it drowns them. So, the Y-cut nipple kind of performs for a cleft baby like a level 1 nipple for a non-cleft baby. When you turn it over, nothing comes out, so it's not pouring into baby's mouth. But all the baby needs to do is learn to move it in between his gums so formula comes out, and then when they need a break, they can stop and nothing comes out. It didn't take long for either one of my guys to figure this out and within a couple of days of birth they were both feeding like champs. It's critical for cleft babies to eat well and gain weight, and we had no issues thanks to this nipple. Definitely not what it's intended for, but maybe our experience can help other parents with clefts.
