How well does this screen do with bluray and streaming HD movies

Incredibly good! We just assembled this screen and watched a few 4K HD videos from YouTube, and the image was clear and crisp. You’ll be able to see every single detail very clearly.

How easy is assembly/disassembly? Would it be practical to use in temporary circumstances (not mount permanently)?

It is a permanent mount and very easy to assemble. Disassembly would introduce wrinkles easily if not careful. Would not advise temporary installation of any kind

Can an in-wall center speaker be placed behind the screen (is the sound muffled, does the screen vibrate)?

If the screen is not an acoustic screen it will muffle the sound coming from the speaker.

how does uniformity of brightness of the gray screen compare to the ultra white screen? does it have "the same brightness at all angles"?

Since this is a 0.9 gain screen it has awesome viewing angles! Brightness is not affected since it is a very light gray screen. Color is a tad more vibrant due to the increased contrast from the gray material and very matte finish.
