Excellent bag for boating, flying, camping, soccer. We use it for everything.
Boy Scouts Seabase is what we bought these for (a purple and a red one) and it was perfect. The rolling is really convenient and saves my back. So many pockets makes it easy to organize and quickly access where I put passports, snacks, electronics. I’ve travelled internationally with it multiple times. It fits in the overhead of most planes.UPDATE: I've had two of these now for 2.5 years. I've taken them camping multiple times and on international flights and boating a few times and they are both in great shape. The wheels work. All the zippers work. I have to say I love this bag. They are our go to bag for boy scout camping trips where you are close to the car. It's easy to organize things in all the pockets (two on top, four on the sides and one on the front). It opens completely so it's easy to get anything you need out of it. The only time we don't use it is if it's an actual backpacking trip where we need a hip bracing back pack to hike miles in the woods. Otherwise this is what we use. On our seabase trip one of the dads had bought an expensive duffle bag. He ended up having to drag it around while we had the convenient wheels that made life much easier.

EXACT REPLACEMENT FOR MY 15 YEAR OLD DUFFEL
Imagine my amazement when I was able to replace my beloved travel duffel with nearly the exact same model. I had a red version of this duffel for 15 years and found it was my go to luggage piece. It went on the train, on the plane in the overhead compartment, in the car, on our sailboat and in our travel trailer. Yes one of the outside zippers finally broke after about 10 years and the bottom by the wheels did have a few scrapes but none of those issues kept me from using it over and over. The final straw was after my last trip when I was unable to pull out the handle no matter what I tried. Sadly I tossed the bag and went online to find a replacement. I am now the proud owner of a purple rolling duffel and am loading it for a trip to Montana as I write. For $29 you cannot go wrong unless you totally abuse this bag. It does not like to stand up without being propped which can be annoying and yes the handle is a bit shorter than some but it holds a ton of stuff and I find my clothes are less wrinkled in this bag than my hard sided larger luggage. My favorite thing is the top opening which allows you to put this bag on luggage racks or a dresser top and be able to unzip the closure, flip it back and thus have access to the whole duffel. Hard sided bags require you open them like a clam shell which does not work on most luggage racks. Most duffels have a single zipper going lengthwise which makes it very hard to "dig around" in the bag because the two sides of the closure get in the way. I do notice that the canvas body of this duffel is a bit thinner than my old one but I still predict I will get years and years of use from this bag.

Perfect! ...almost; updated review: Five Stars Well-Deserved
In preparation to send my son to college thousands of miles away, I was searching for suitcases big enough to hold his belongings for different seasons, but can be stored away more easily in his tiny dorm room. Rolling duffle bags came up as viable option. At first I fell for the name brand trap and bought a set of Samsonite, a brand I am personally familiar with and thought they'd make good products. To my disappointment, the duffle bag, with big, tapered pockets on both ends, can roll but cannot stand. Therefore, it doesn't stand a chance for easy travel. I ordered this Olympia bag from Outerra Travel Gear as an alternative, and it was delivered promptly as projected. It is lightweight but study. The telescopic handle glides up and down smoothly. The bag is well designed, we were able to fit his winter gears into it. I had a couple of questions for the seller before ordering a second one. The Outerra Travel Gear was responsive and I was able to place the order immediately and it was filled quickly. The bag just arrived and the color and designs are as described but with one defect--the telescopic handle is stuck. When I opened the zipper inside the bag, it was revealed that the reinforced protection rail had a bent on it and the knob was keeping the handle stuck. I quickly contacted the seller. It is late afternoon on a Sunday but I am hopeful the seller will respond ASAP and provide a resolution in time for our upcoming travel coast to coast. Some of you may be wondering why this is a five-star review. I actually started this review after happily packing my son's winter clothes in the first bag, but before the second one was delivered. Imperfection is a part of life's norm. I am not adverse to mistakes or accidents as long as they seek ways to remedy the situation. I am giving this bag and this seller five stars because I believe they will make it right.Update as of August 18, 2026The seller came through within an hour of my reaching out and immediately arranged to remedy the situation. A replacement is on the way before I had to do anything to process for a replacement. As I type this message in gratitude; the Olympia rolling duffle bag will be here in time for our journey to send our son into a world full of people with helping hands . Thank you, Outerra Travel Gear.

Perfect carry-on bag for that geek in your family.
My wife bought a pair of these bags for us and the first thing I asked her was why? We have two perfectly good, 500lb, giant 10 year old luggage bags that look like they've withstood a nuclear holocaust. Why did you need to go spend money on something new? With reluctance I kept my dirty, handles missing, flea infested luggage bag in the closet the last time I traveled and brought this one instead.Pros:+ It's super light. 5-10 pounds at most.+ It has wheels and rolls. If it falls over while rolling it doesn't break my fragile programmer wrists from the weight.+ I'm a software engineer and also a man, in that order. I've only worn a t-shirt and jeans since the day I saw my first computer. I can pack about 7 t-shirts and 3-4 pairs of jeans into this sucker. Let's be realistic though, I only pack 1 pair of jeans because you can wear the same pair for 3 weeks and no one notices. Unless they get close, which they don't, because...software engineer. My wife on the other hand can fill the bag with the thoughts of the clothes she probably won't but maybe will think of wearing on Friday.+ It's soft and squishy like a duffel bag. This could be a pro or a con depending on what you plan to do with it. It's a pro if you plan on carrying this bag onto the plane and smashing it into the overhead where it fits perfectly. It's a con if you're coming back from San Diego and you plan on filling it with bottles of rare Pliny the Elder beer and hoping the baggage handlers will respect the 27 fragile stickers you put on it. Hint, they won't.- There are tons of little pockets all over it to fill with your knickknacks. They're small though, you can't fit much in them except maybe headphones, chargers, stuff like that.- It has handles that stick together so that you can carry it like a duffel bag if you want to show off your muscles to the ladies. I prefer rolling it.Cons:- The handle could come up a little higher. I'm 5'8 not 4'9. I'd appreciate not having to bend over like I do at my desk all day while dragging this bag through the airport (I may be exaggerating a little). I'd like if it came up another 2-3 inches.- The wheels don't rotate. If you take a corner fast the bag can tip over.- The handle doesn't lock when you pull it all the way out. This isn't a big deal if you always pull your bag but if you decide to turn around and push it, the handle can push in which is kind of annoying.Overall it's a good carry-on bag. It fits into the overhead nicely and it fits a weeks worth of my clothes when I need to travel somewhere for business. Plus it's a really good price. 4.5 stars.

Rugged enough for today's air travel and holds a LOT!
I am almost a professional traveller!! I fly a lot - Usually twice a month or more - usually on Southwest. This 22" bag FITS in their overhead. I recently wandered to another carrier by error, and their economy regional Embraer jet with glove-box sized overheads....that was trouble. I "think" I might have been able to squeeze it in, but I gate checked it instead. For any real airplane, this will fit into an overhead. This is my second, exactly the same Olympia bag - the first going to secondary usage due to some wearing, long term. If I say 3 yrs old, it is probably 5 years old! The end strap handle was cut by something, and I feared it would rip further. And, a fully stuffed end pocket finally developed a failure down at the bottom. The handle and wheels and all else NEVER failed!! So, I chose to buy another to replace the older one.Very high quality - good, strong stitching all around. Plenty of pockets, and the Zippers, wheels, and telescoping handle are ALL heavy duty and strongly built. Excellent value for the money! I highly recommend, you will not be disappointed. My bag frequently is checked...who know what happens down there! I try to carry on....I fully expect another 3-5 years of happy travelling with this bag! Or MORE!

Good buy
Great capacity and sized within airline size restrictions. Packs a lot of stuff. Wish it had internal straps for holding down the contents. Bit cumbersome when pulling ~ tilts/rotates a lot.

Great Disposable Luggage
I've bought about 6 of these bags over the years. When the price drops to about $20 snap them up. Anything more is a total waste of money. They last about 3-4 cruises without air travel, or about 2 trips when flying. The more they are handled by airport or baggage handlers the more stress is put on the seams and they start to tear and come apart. The biggest highlight is the HOT PINK model. You can see it from space in my opinion. The great customs area after a cruise voyage your HOT PINK luggage will stand out in the crowd of black and red luggage. Forget about tying a ribbon, the entire bag is visible on luggage carrousels or on the floor of any baggage retrieval area. The many pockets are nice, the big central pocket is great. Holds about 5 days of clothes for my 6'2" use. Just don't expect to use it for years and years. Figure after 3 uses it will be close to retirement. Time to take another out of the closet. I watch the prices often on Amazon, and am amazed that it will sell for $140 for months at a time. But don't pay that much. I've bought in 2017 & 2019 for about $25. For that much money it is a bargain to always see my luggage first.

Contents of the bag exposed
I wanted a replacement for my old good Olympia 8 Pockets bag. However, when it arrived, I've realized that Olympia has changed a bag design. Instead of the handle being attached outside the bag, it now runs inside the bag. When a handle is up, contents of your stuff is exposed as shown on photos. When traveling, especially if you have to wheel the bag outside, it is no starter, in my opinion. Returned it, even if Olympia requires payment for return. I wish they provided a description and photo showing that handle. Regret the purchase.

Great bag at a great price!

Recomendable ampliamente.
