(I didnt notice much of a scent) When delivered they were just tossed into a bag. They were a heaped mess. However the safety seals were intact. Nothing spilled or leaked. The bottles contained different amounts of oil despite being labled the same. I would have returned them if I wasnt so desperate to find something to soothe my acne. These are the first essential oils I have tried for skin. I have cystic hormonal acne with black heads and general acne. Per what I've read; you wash your face, use toner if needed, use a facial lotion, then use oils. That's what I've been doing and it's been going well. First, I started with almond oil to moisturize and to help with acne. It helped a lot. I got rosemary oil and use them both. It worked even more. As far as my cystic acne, it reduces the time I have them. I don't have them on my chin or jaw line, so far anymore, just my temple/cheek area. My skin looks smoother and I no longer have dry flakes. My blackhead acne (nose, cheeks, and chin) has been reduced. Not completely gone but, was before my period. Against normal acne without hormonal influence, this works very well, acne 95% gone. Hormonal acne is reduced by 80%. Ive noticed, unfortunately, my scabs take longer to heal and go away. As for whole body, it helps retain moisture that I have not had with lotion alone. My skin is soft and smooth. My nails are shiny and stronger. I used to have cracked chipped nails. These help. Also, the only products to help my very dry elbows (took a week or 2). I wash my hands a lot and these smoothed them. I use on my scalp and hair pre shower. Water makes my hair brittle. I mix some with my conditioner and apply some onto my damp hair when finished. A little goes a long way or you will have oil spill hair. I use almond oil and jojoba oil. Jojoba seems to absorb better. I have thick mixed hair that's past my shoulders. I use only 3 drops, rub between my hands and apply to strands. That's enough. When it's damp it seems like it doesn't do anything, just wait. As far as face brightening, I am not sure. Now that I don't have open sores my face looks calmer. Redness is reduced but later. When I first deal with my face it's red but after a couple hours it goes down. The oils I've used are: all in this set, jojoba oil, rosehip oil, rosemary oil, and argan oil. I found these work best ontop of lotion. I accidently did oil before lotion and it stung a bit even after putting lotion over it. If it gets in your eyes it hurts sooo bad. I'm giving 3 stars cause of how items were packaged and the different oil amounts in the same size bottles.
