(If mainstream fitness advice has left you broken down and beat up, itโs time for a new strategy.) Most middle-aged fitness enthusiasts and athletes have been dragged down by joint pain, injuries, and other ailments commonly accepted as โpart of getting older.โ But it doesnโt have to be this way. In fact, anyone can conquer joint pain and rebuild their body. It simply requires understanding the hidden causes and a road map (this book) that leads to the solution. Built from Broken presents a paradigm shift in how to think about corrective exercise, sports nutrition, and joint health. Once you see how the system works, youโll never look at exercise or joint health the same way again. Part 1 lays the foundation for understanding why your joints are breaking down. Youโll learn: The 5 primary causes of joint pain. How to prevent the โBig 3โ injuries that trap you in the Pain/Injury Cycle. Why conventional pain management merely masks symptoms (and 3 natural pain relief techniques that actually work). How to identify and fix muscle imbalances that lead to tension, pain, and injuries. Natural injury recovery strategies that improve healing time and tissue repair quality. Part 2 gives you a step-by-step corrective exercise guide and list of action steps to rebuild your body from the ground up. Including: The ideal training schedule to maximize muscle recovery and connective tissue repair (in as little as 2 days per week , at any age ). Illustrated corrective exercise instructions (with several home workout options). How to strengthen joints with cutting-edge connective tissue training techniques. A step-by-step training program complete with workout routines. Whether you have been training for a few years, a few decades, or have never stepped foot in a weight room, itโs not too late to overhaul your body. If the conventional path of lifting and stretching has left you broken down, why not try a new strategy? This book is your way out of the pain/injury cycle. All you have to do is follow three simple steps. Read the book. Follow the action steps inside to resolve your pain. Implement the 4-week corrective training program outlined in the book. Just imagine, in 4-8 weeks from now, you could be in a pain-free, mobile, strong, and functional body. One that allows you to do the activities you love, push the limits of your capabilities, and achieve your true physical potential. This process can start for you right now. All you have to do is click the โbuyโ button and order your copy of Built from Broken . Review: Excellent resource - Bought this book as I have ongoing lower back issues and was unsure what training I can or should be doing to help heal my back and not do further damage. This book is so well written and gives an in depth scientific explanation about muscles, connective tissue and how the body works with regards to exercise and healing etc. It is equally suited to serious athletes and your average gym goer like me! The 2nd half of the book goes into how to train and has training programmes for all levels. I now feel confident, equipped and educated to get back into exercise and help my body get back to full health. Brilliant book! Review: Superb book - highly recommended - Superb book. Iโm currently struggling with a shoulder injury which I realise is likely attributable to a combination of over training, muscle imbalances (weak rotator cuff, tight lats and chest) and restricted thoracic mobility (not helped by my desk job). I now feel much better informed and more confident about my ability to recover and rebuild my strength. Reasonably priced on desertcart too. Highly recommended.

Challenging if mobility-challenged
It is an informative book but I was a little disappointed. Im 64 with knackered joints from playing rugby until 51 years old, hence the purchase of this book. But the stretching and exercises seem to be geared to people without these problems. Maybe it would be great for people who donโt want to badly affect their joints in the future but for those with already bad mobility I donโt feel the exercises are really doable. Could be summed up by saying stretch joints instead of muscles and lift reasonably heavy reps slowly to ensure your tendons dont get disrupted.

Good book
I've read many books to tackle small ailments that I come across, and some larger ones. Like gray cooks and rebuilding Milo. This one really drives home the need and use of resistance training to tackle anv issues. Another great book to add to a collect to enhances ones ability to take control of there issues.

Life changing
Cannot recommend this book highly enough. All my long term injuries and postural issues are being corrected by following this excellent programme. This is for issues that I spent ยฃs and hours through countless physiotherapy sessions that never resolved the underlying problems. Key thing this book teaches you is to keep moving correctly through the pain and trust your body to heal itself (with the right strength exercises and rest). Amazing book that is making me pain free, confident with great posture and so much stronger.

A revelation that confirmed my ideas
A ver well written book that confirmed ideas I have held for many years and gave me tools to put them into deeper practice. Never one to interminally rest injuries, I would exercise without gravity or return to the field to start working on the area and rebuilding bone repair. This gave me so much of the science and many more tools to use and put into practice Scott's ideas and to continue in my quest to be as active as possible for as long as possible given my body's ability to naturally rebuild. Thankyou for this and for anyone else please give it a very serious go

Ok if you dont know much
The reviews made me excited. Nice easy read but only takeaway for me that was new was around building connective tissue and including insights around that into your regime when you return to exercise. This is really a general public book for someone who likes to lift heavy, doesn't have much knowledge but keeps getting niggles. I think 'built from broken' gives the wrong impression. A few useful takeaways don't get me wrong but not worth the reviews. Or maybe i'm just the wrong audience.
