I bought Chamomile oil to use it on my hair and face. But the smell of this oil is simply disgusting! It stinks of Indian Mosquito Repellent (((Before that I used Chamomile oil in other pharmacy brands and I know what the smell should be. This is a fake, a waste of money.

I order MPEO as needed. I've always been satisfied in the past. My most recent order was a 4 oz Chamomile oil. It doesn't smell or act like Chamomile oil. It smells more like Tea Tree oil. But it's labeled as Chamomile.

I have several other EOs from Majestic Pure, and my experience with them has been positive with a few mediocre selections. The quality is pretty consistent, so I’m really surprised by this one. Maybe my sensory life experiences have lacked the exact genus/species of this chamomile. It smells like nothing I would call remotely chamomile. Bottom line: it reeks. I hate it. I’ve tried combining it with other EOs, even the ones that tend to overpower most, and this chamomile has managed to make even those stink. It’s sort of like the smell of thrift store shoes that look nearly new but were left in someone’s closet for 20 years and are actually dry rotted. I purchased a new brand of lavender EO at the same time, and thought I’d make a nice, relaxing combo for a diffuser. Since I’ve made this combo so many times, I didn’t smell them individually. I just added a few drops of them and was about to turn it on when I happened to lean over it and get a whiff. It was so disgusting I physically gagged. I had to scour the diffuser with boiling water multiple times to get the stench out. It was that overpowering. I went back and smelled everything individually, which is when I found that this chamomile has the magical ability to make anything smell like the shoes I described. The lavender is its own review, let’s just say it is hands down the nastiest EO I’ve ever had a whiff of. The two together… just no. I will never buy this specific oil online again, but I’ll likely continue to buy other oils from this company. For that fact alone, I gave them an extra star. Maybe it’s like cilantro, where some think it tastes and smells like soap but others just experience a slightly tangy but mostly bland herb.
