Great for gaming and computing on the go!
I bought this 3 years ago to connect external monitors and AR glasses to my Steam Deck, and it is still going strong! It allows for pass-through charging during use, which is super convenient, but do be aware that you may experience lowered charging speed unless you plug it into a proper Steam Deck or USB-C laptop charging cable— a phone charging brick will not be enough. I've never had it get too hot during use, nor has it caused overheating in the device it's plugged into. It's very portable and easy to toss into a laptop bag or travel case. I do wish it had USB-C input ports for controllers, but the HDMI is what I originally bought it for, and it works great for stable, high-quality gaming on the go. I've also used this here and there to import photos from an SD card into MacBook and Windows computers. Recently I plugged it into my iPhone 17 on a whim to see if I could import my photos directly for easier posting, and it actually worked! I opened up the Files app, and there they were. So it's a really versatile dongle. Will it replace a proper docking station? No, you'll probably want some more USB-C ports and maybe another HDMI. But it's a great interim or travel option when you're short on extra space.

Better than Acer… so far.
The HDMI so far hasn’t randomly turned off unlike the similar looking Acer I returned. Construction on this one is nice. No card reader, but I don’t need it. It also (supposedly) does up to 8k. I mainly wanted it because it (supposedly) does 4k @ 120 unlike most of these which only do 4k @ 60 or even 30. (Read the specs closely) iPhones and iPads can now output 120 so why shouldn’t my adapter be capable? Sounds like sound logic anyway. This has a 2 year warranty which also is nice and comes with a storage bag for what reason I don’t know. I suspect all these things are made by the same factory as they all look so similar (even the packaging), but so far it’s better than the Acer!

USB-Cdock
Good iPadAir dock. Good price. Works great. Would recommend this for people who need a dock for their iPad.

UPDATED Good dock for the money and part time use. Can be used with Windows or Mac.
UPDATE - 10 months into use and the HDMI port is having issues. I also began using the Ethernet connection daily for hard wired Internet. Although the specs and speed test show good connection quality, real world use case was not good. Screen sharing via Teams and other VC functions did not work well. Switched to WiFi and it was fine. I then purchased another dock from a name brand and the connection issues went away. I would recommend this as a part time, cost effective solution (possibly for travel only) but it did not hold up to dial use. I originally bought this to use on a Dell with Windows 11. Dell support app would pop up and say the charging pass through was not rated and asked if I still wanted to use it. When I said yes, it was fine. All other I/O ports worked. This was plug and play on my MacBook Air 2020 w/ M1 processor. Unit gets warm when charging, but that’s fine and it’s away from the laptop enough not to make the laptop hot.

Steam Deck Use Review
UPDATE: So 5 months later and I have this thing velcroed on top of a stand by itself. Was the first dock I made/put together and aside from the initial first time setup, it has been perfect. Its definitely beat my JSAUX (2nd released ver) and the Official Dock both have had quite a few problems. Yes, I own 3 docks in 3 in different rooms. This one has performed the best, im not sure why. --‐---------- Bought this for docking the Steam Deck and it works great, but not without a few flaws (Steam Deck issues not the dock itself). On first try blank screen, so I booted to desktop mode and it worked there, then I set my TV as the main monitor and had the deck screen set to off. Booted back SteamOS / Game Mode and it has worked perfect as far as external goes. I did have some external controller issues a week later (possibly a steam update did something). This also affected the on deck controls as well (steam button not working). Setting my external controller (8bitdo in Pro controller mode) to ZERO aka first controller and it works great. This may seem like a lot but it wasnt bad at all, these are expected to happen with unofficial docks. Also all the USB ports work flawlessly. And do not forget to set your TV to game mode to reduce latency issues. Lastly, TV compatibility may differ for each user. Im using a Roku 65" 4K TV. Model is C102x. Hope this helps someone out there til the official deck comes in! This is an excellent alternative for now. Still waiting for my JSAUX dock to come in, but they are super backed up with orders, and as of this review date expect to wait 20+ days to a month if you plan to go down that route.

This little thing has been terrific!
I needed a hub for my Microsoft surface pro 11. I wanted to be able to grab a USB-C connector from this hub and plug it in to my surface pro and have the desktop monitor light up, my keyboard and mouse both come alive. It has done exactly that! It's really great to use. I needed to run my large LG monitor, a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard and charge my tablet. I went with this one because of the power output ,the video speed and the USB ports for a wired keyboard and mouse. It was kind of complicated doing the research for this thing. But this product ended up being enough to have great video and good power to power up my tablet when it's plugged in. I think you'd want to research this in greater detail if you planned on doing any gaming. I'm not a gamer but I do know that video speeds are a concern for gamers and I think you'd want to do more research if video speed is critical. I've not had any issues with my normal YouTube watching. It's been great for my tablet workstation purposes. I'm really glad I picked this one up. It's made a great workstation for my tablet!

I needed a gigabit ethernet adaptor and some legacy USB A ports for my Apple Studio Display and MacBook. This fitted the bill perfectly. Gig Ethernet works perfectly at full duplex and the flash card reader is fast and the USB A ports allow connection of my legacy USB stuff stuff which was cheaper than a new cable!

It might not sound important, 30Hz HDMI Output on a modern monitor, but you will notice the mouse lag. This USB-C Hub solves that issue as it can produce 60Hz HDMI output resulting in crystal clear display on the external monitor and no lag on the mouse movement. As regards all the other things it can do, they are self explanatory.
