Great for parents and teachers!
I used this book the whole year when teaching 3rd grade! It's excellent at teaching children how to edit paragraphs and transfers easily to the student editing their own work and then publishing a beautiful published copy. Now, I am using it to teach my granddaughter, since I am retired. It is fun for us to do together and I do the daily paragraph in a "fun" way so that we are able to count our mistakes and match them to what the book says! This is a wonderful resource for the classroom or homeschool use!!!

Teacher
My students love this. We do this as a morning warm up daily or place it in their homework. I have purchased a lot of Evan-Moore books for various uses in my classroom.

Great book for teachers
This was a gift for a fellow teacher. She started using it right away. She says it is very useful.

Great for editing practice.
I love this workbook for my son to practice editing. I do think that some of the editing skills are a little higher than 3rd grade, but with education expecting more knowledge at lower levels, I'm not surprised. Sometimes, I tell him the editing that he is not ready to learn yet.

Great!
You might want to start the third grade year with the one for 2nd. I use this every day in my classroom by copying one for each student and using the overhead to project and proofread as a whole class. Then I have them rewrite the paragraph on lined paper. We use the same piece of paper the whole week and keep them in folders. This will be in the toolbox for many years to come.

Love it
My son is very smart - but he has a very hard time with proofreading paragraphs - I copy the pages on a copier so I can use the same page many times !

Three Stars
I think that there are too many editing symbols in this book for Grade 3 students.
