would a medium be too big for a kid who wears size 6-7 in clothing?

I ordered the medium size for my eight-year-old grandson. Before I gave to him I tried on myself, a woman with large hands, and they fit very well for me, so they'll probably be a little too large for him.

What size should I get for an adult male?

These gloves are child size. I (a 5'3" female) can fit in the large with a little space. However, for a true adult size they will be a little tight.

It fits just fine, but the sizes run rather big. I have a size small and my son wears a size 7 in clothes, and this fits him well. Whatever size you think you need, get the next size down. I think perhaps it's because "small" is actually an adult size. OTOH, these are great looking gloves.
