Can the drum and cable be replaced with larger diameter?

I doubt it because the factory set the size for that certain model

Yes it does come with cable and it’s 1/4” st 25’

how well will it maneuver a 90 degree elbow ? 1 1/2 inch pvc in my case.

It’s pretty rigid but if you bash it into the wall of the pipe enough times and enough ways you will get it to bend and carry on. I have a similar setup and it took time and effort but it did work out well.
