MOBI Smart Door and Window: Sensor Control Devices;Open Entry; Alarm Sensors for Windows and Doors

Super easy and fast to set-up. Connected with Google very easily. I am using on an outside gate. Seems to connect to the wi-fi well. Not sure how well it’ll last outdoors but for the reasonable price figured I would give it a try. So far it’s great!

Had to have it right next to wifi to add the device to app. Once it paired, getting Alexa to recognize it was easy. Also, It's a little tricky to mount on a garage door, but once I figured out best position, it works as advertised. I'm happy with the unit. It's small, unobtrusive, dependable, and good price.

So far so good. Easy to setup. Simple app.

I have spent 3 hours trying to get it to set up in the MOBI SMART APP. Apparently it is not so smart. Moreover, the printed directions refer to the reset button, but do not tell which button it is. Apparently it is the tiny black one. Every time I try to set it up, I have to retype my password. Very frustrating. Meanwhile, my car is probably being stolen again. (I got this for the car door.)

I love TUYA devices, even when they are rebranded. It's my curse to have to load a new app onto my phone in order to test a product. I'm constantly signing up for accounts for these one-off apps that barely support a small line of products. Smart Life on the other hand supports just about everything... provided the OEM doesn't muck around too much. In the case of these Mobi smart door sensors, the Tuya coding is intact. These door sensors are easy to pair with Smart Life and work just great for triggering actions.This particular door sensor is a bit better than most in that it has a tamper sensor. There's a little dealie that sticks out the back in case someone pulls this off the door. There are settings on the app that allow control over open, close, tamper and battery notifications. It's also got a time log history. All you could ask for in a door sensor.I use mine on my front door. When there's motion outside my front door my doorbell camera triggers an event that turns on a light in the entry. When I open the door I have a event that turns that light off after a minute. The light serves as a way of letting me know there's a package outside the door and resets when I open the door. It also works to light up the entry when I come home and turns thing off because I don't hang out in my entryway for very long.I've had the AAA batteries in this sensor for about 2 weeks and the battery still shows 100%. I don't expect it to go down much over 6 months.
